Home Farm Cottage (with swimming pool and sauna)

Home Farm has a separate, newly refurbished, self-catering cottage. The cottage sleeps up to six people and has a very sizeable living room with a wood-burning stove and a fully-fitted kitchen with a seating area. Free parking spaces are available directly in front of the cottage.

Balgavies Home Farm has an exclusive on-site spa area that includes a 10-meter swimming pool, with a countercurrent pump for keen swimmers, a jacuzzi, and a Finnish sauna with three separate showers. An additional charge of £10 per person applies for use of the whole spa area. £5 per person for the swimming pool only. These prices apply to a two-hour period. Special prices apply for groups of three and above.
PLEASE NOTE THE USE OF THE SWIMMING POOL AND SAUNA IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE FOR THE ROOM.

Lovely clean cottage

Cottage is in a lovely quiet location and is very well equipped- beds are very coverage too. I didn’t have much communication from the hosts as didn’t need it- only downside was getting told off for putting the radiators on. I couldn’t get the towels dry overnight for a shower the next day- weather was too wet to hand them out and they wouldn’t dry in the cottage.

Perfect mini break

So lucky to have found this wonderful cottage for our annual get-together of family and friends. Accommodation is first class for comfort and amenity. And the on-site spa is truly a luxurious addition. Ideal location in the beautiful Angus countryside. Perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Perfekt ausgestattet, wahnsinnig gemütlich und die perfekte Abrundung für einen tollen Urlaub in Schottland. Robert und Paula sind die perfekten Gastgeber, die alle Wünsche möglich machen und uns nicht nur mit Ihrer professionellen Art begeistert haben, sondern auch menschlich. Absolute Empfehlung von uns!!!!! We have been traveling with 4 children for 10 years and have used holiday homes every year so have gained a lot of experience. This vacation home is the best and most perfect ever. Perfectly equipped, incredibly comfortable and the perfect way to round off a great holiday in Scotland. Robert and Paula are the perfect hosts, who make all wishes possible and not only inspired us with their professional manner, but also as people. Absolute recommendation from us!!!!!

Relaxing holidays

House is very clean. Stylish interior. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need. Pool great (we did not use the sauna). We had a very relaxing stay. Paula fulfilled very wish we had. When we visit Scotland again, this is the place to stay.

Awesome country cottage

We had a lovely stay at the cottage and the kids really enjoyed the pool. The scenery was breathtaking and we loved the amenities. The cottage was beautifully maintained.

Stunning location, great property and great host's. Dundees is just a short drive with all the attraction there to occupy our Granddaughtee , but i have to say my Granddaughter was more excited about the pool

Great property, however some issues. Large damage deposit was required and the pool/spa area was expensive. Hosts could have been more accommodating and did not work well with young people.

Peace perfect peace

Very well appointed, comfortable beds, all facilities (including pool, jacuzzi, and sauna if you wish). Peaceful surroundings, yet near enough to travel to various places of interest. Excellent hosts. Would definitely return.

Lovely stay in a 5 star property

Hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Property is fixed with all The amenities you might want or need. Starter pack for our meals and lovely quiet area. Plus the spa area is fabulous! Will definitely be back!

Robert & Paula moved to Scotland at the end of 2019. Paula is a native and comes from Aberdeen originally. Robert comes from Germany near the city of Hameln. Both speak fluent English and German.

Home Farm is set in the beautiful rolling Angus countryside within the Lunan Valley. Things are quiet here. Perfect, if you want to get away from the stress of daily life. It's a place to relax take long walks and slow down.
The buildings date from around 1890, the old steadings and mill form a complex
of buildings which include: a private house, a cottage and a bed & breakfast.

We also offer the use of our luxurious spa area with a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and aquarium. These facilities are NOT included in the price of your stay but are available for all our guests who want to book it for some relaxing downtime. The use of this area should be booked in advance if at all possible, especially for the use of the sauna. This guarantees your group’s private time and also avoids too many guests in the spa area at any given time. Swimming Pool and Spa Area rules are provided prior to your stay.
