Traditional cottage with stunning views and walks on the doorstep.

Traditional 3 bed terraced cottage in picturesque Holmfirth, with amazing views over Brownhill Reservoir all year round. Perfect setting for a romantic break, or peaceful getaway with family or friends. Ideal for walking and cycling to explore the local countryside. Walking distance to local pubs with incredible food. Unique location and convenient for access to Holmfirth with its array of amenities.

The cottage is furnished to a high standard and is equipped with all you could need for your stay including high speed internet connection, well equipped kitchen with large modern cooker, private garden with bbq and secure storage for bicycles. Sleeps/houses 5 adults/4 adults & 2 kids. 1 king, 1 double & 1 twin bedroom (single & pull out trundle bed).

Travel cot, high chair and bumbo for babies and monitor for home working also available on request. Please let us know of any special occasions or requests, which can be offered at an additional charge.

The cottage has parking directly in front of the door for ease of access.

The cottage is sanitised after every stay to safeguard against the spread of COVID-19.

The cottage was lovely, so clean and welcoming. Easy to get into - given we arrived very late. We had a 1 year and 3 year old - it was lovely that Marie provided a high chair and travel cot - making our luggage a lot less. Also the provision of children's books was fab. The TV had all the usual apps that we could also sign into via our accounts. All in all a very good stay.

Lovely cottage, beautiful views

We had a lovely few days at Martha's cottage. The place is really comfortable and was very clean The views particularly from the attic room are fabulous.The cottage is very well equipped and lacked nothing. Thank you for the tea !The extra shower room was a real bonus.We did lots of great dog walks from the doorstep and a short drive in to holmfirth.Overall a really relaxing comfortable few days and would love to visit again.Thanks Marie and Dan

Good Cottage

It was a lovely stay and local area was nice. I recommend the pickled pheasant pub. The bike shed was full so we couldn’t use it unfortunately. The house was very cozy with lots of blankets, nice stay. Great views too.

Short family break

We hadn’t appreciated what a gorgeous location this property was in. The view from the front of the cottage over the reservoir is gorgeous, and a first floor reading nook is so cosy and gives the feeling of being by the sea side! The property is really tastefully decorated, making it feel like a home from home. The check in process was really smooth and easy to understand. The weather during our visit was terrible but we would love to come back again with better weather to take advantage of all the local area has to offer. Would definitely recommend.

3 days at Martha's cottage.

We were very pleased with our stay. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable.The location is lovely overlooking the reservoir. We had a little difficulty putting the code in the ground level lock box. We enjoyed using the outside table on the patio

Absolutely brilliant stay

Our stay at Martha's Cottage in Holmfirth was absolutely enchanting. The cottage provided a warm and inviting home away from home, equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable visit. Meticulous attention to detail was evident, with kitchen staples such as sugar, tea, coffee, and herbs thoughtfully provided along with all other necessities needed for a comfortable stay. The neighbours were incredibly welcoming and delightful. Situated in a peaceful and idyllic location, the cottage was an ideal retreat to relax, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and listen to the soothing natural sounds. The cottage's picturesque setting, with views of the reservoir, presented excellent opportunities for leisurely walks and explorations. Holmfirth captivated us with its charming village ambiance, excellent shops, and superb dining options. We had a splendid week and eagerly look forward to returning to Martha's Cottage in the future. The landlady was exceptionally attentive to our inquiries, ensuring a memorable stay. Thank you, Marie.

Relaxing stay

Cottage in th absolute best location for views, walks and relaxing. Everything as described and everything you need to hand. The Fleece up the hill 20 mins walk, 5 mins on the bus that stops outside the cottage does really good food and plenty of it, best news, 10 mins downhill walk home

Beautiful cottage

Cosy, well-equipped cottage in a stunning location. Lovely views of the reservoir from all the windows at the front of the property. It feels remote yet is only a few minutes from town so offers the best of both worlds. The host, Marie, was easy to get hold of and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
