Thank you so much for taking the time to do an honest review. All these small things will be fixed as soon as Tiago is made aware. The pots and pans were new last season but it sounds as though they've been well used and I can replace them for next season. I can only presume that the hair dryer has been taken by mistake. I left it there in the top drawer of the upstairs bedroom ??? I will re- visit the directions to try and simplify but I have no-one else report difficulty. There are new roads and connections so they may be needing it. So glad you enjoyed it. It really is a most beautiful place. We look forward to seeing you again. Rosie Post script Just arrived at the villa. The lights above the cooker are working fine - you simply have to pull the canapé out towards you. There are 2 frying pans that are a bit wonky, but the sauspans and lids seem ok? All dealt with and now ready for next season.

I am deeply saddened by your review as the great majority of reviews have been 4 and mostly 5 stars. There is, and often are droughts in the region, the “verdant gardens” you refer to are permanent houses overall, that have costly irrigation systems: we decided to re-wild the garden. Later on, wildflowers and plants grow, and it is teeming with insects and wildlife that attract the birds. It would cost in the region of £45,000 to do the garden. As it would take approximately 150 litres per day for such irrigation, we couldn’t justify local people going short for us. There is a slight incline from the council-maintained road and pavement at the rear of the property. This does not belong to us. It’s about 2 steps, not meters. I presume this is what you are referring to as no pavement?? Our villa is one of the older style properties on the estate and we love its rustic charm and ambience. The price for rental is reflective of that fact and you talk of £1,000’s when you paid us £649.41! There are properties on the estate that are £4,000 + per week. The kitchen, complete with black, sparkly polished granite work tops was fitted in 2011 and in our opinion looks great! We quite like the retro crockery and the cutlery was all matching when we were there in February. There are odd bits of crockery that people have kindly replaced but couldn’t find matching ones; some are gifts from grateful customers left for us. As all of the bed linen and towels were brand new in February this year, I can only apologise. I have checked with Tiago, Ana and the team and they assure me that they thought everything was in order. They pride themselves on guest comfort and would only have been too happy to address your concerns had you pointed this out to them when you were asked by Tiago if everything was ok at their restaurant. It could so easily have been rectified instead of this negative review. There has been low water pressure on the whole estate with no water at all at the top for several weeks. This may have been the reason for the shower being “unpredictable” and beyond my control. It’s a matter of taste.
