Acerca de este alojamiento
Riverside Bothy In Heart of Scenic Harbour Village
Summary:
Salt & City Stays are pleased to introduce 'Y Bothy' which is a centrally located one-bedroom cottage in the heart of the picturesque harbour town of Solva. You couldn't be closer to everything this delightful fishing village has to offer. Tucked away on a private road just a moment’s walk from the harbour, restaurants, pubs, independents shops and Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Built for two with all you need to create your ultimate cosy getaway on the St. Davids Peninsula.
The Space:
Enter the cottage into the fully equipped kitchen, with gas hob, washer/dryer, small fridge/freezer and a bright dining space. The kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering stay; rustle up a hearty supper or relaxed breakfast, with coffee from the Nespresso coffee machine, and enjoy your meal around the dining table together.
Step through the oak cottage door into the cosy living room with a comfy corner sofa. It's the perfect spot to crash out and watch Netflix on the Smart TV or enjoy a good book or board game. The sofa converts into a double sofa bed providing sleeping space for up to 4 people in the Bothy.
The ground floor also includes the downstairs bathroom with the spacious walk-in shower, basin and heated towel rail.
Head upstairs, to find the cosy double bedroom with ensuite WC and plenty of clothes storage. The Velux window gives views over the garden and woodland behind, and being on a quiet lane; you're sure to have a peaceful night's sleep.
Heading outside, you'll find the garden patio area located on the first tier of the garden with a dining area and access to the built-in bbq for Summer nights eating Al fresco.
Y Bothy includes free parking with a permit to the local carpark just a 2-minute walk away. There's plenty of space to load and unload outside of the property for easy access.
Guest Access:
You have the entire cottage, and the first level of the tiered garden, to yourself. You may use the charcoal BBQ on the next level.
The Neighborhood:
Solva Harbour
Just a 2-minute walk from the cottage, there is always something to watch in this lovely harbour. It's the perfect spot for open water swimming, crabbing, jumping off the quay, paddleboarding, fishing, kayaking and much more. There's even a small beach that appears as the tide drops.
Enjoy access to the coast path in both directions taking you to stunning local beaches and local areas of interest, including St Davids. Alternatively, take the footpaths inland for woodland walks and stunning countryside views.
Solva Village
The long main street is full of pubs, cafes and shops. The Cambrian, Mamgu's and Cafe 35 are favourite places to eat. Enjoy a drink watching the boats from the Harbour Inn. Local crab and produce can all be purchased in the village, and Bay View stores have everything you need to stock up. Please take a look through our welcome guide for more recommendations.
Solva Woollen Mill
Spend a lovely afternoon at Solva Woollen Mill – the oldest working woollen mill in the county. Lots of woollen goods to choose from in the shop or stop for afternoon tea in the café.
St Davids
It's a 12 minute drive to St David's with its stunning Cathedral, medieval Bishops Palace, restaurants and shops. Take a boat trip around Ramsey Island and enjoy the wonderful sea birds, dolphins and wildlife.
Porthgain
The harbour village of Porthgain is a must with its art gallery, local pub and fish and chip bistro. Walk the Coast Path over to the Blue Lagoon at Aberieddy – famed for the Red Bull Cliff Diving.
