With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, this beautifully refurbished former miner’s cottage sleeps up to six guests in comfort. The open-plan kitchen and dining space is fully equipped for easy self-catering, with a breakfast bar that doubles as a handy workspace – complete with USB ports and fast Wi-Fi.

After a day of exploring, unwind in the cosy snug lounge with reclining chairs, a Smart TV and a crackling log burner. There’s also a sunroom with extra seating and another Smart TV, so everyone can find their own little corner of calm.

Step outside to your private, enclosed garden – perfect for sunny lunches, barbecues, or evenings soaking in the secluded hot tub beneath the stars.

And because holidays are better with four-legged friends, up to two dogs are welcome free of charge. Scenic walking paths are right on your doorstep, making this the perfect place for pets and people alike.

Gloucester is just 35 minutes away, with its historic docks and cathedral, while the elegant spa town of Cheltenham — on the edge of the Cotswolds — is around 45 minutes by car. Head west and you'll reach the Herefordshire border in just 25 minutes at Ross-on-Wye, or travel a little further to explore the charm of Hereford City in under an hour. South Wales is also within easy reach, with Monmouth about 45 minutes away and the stunning Wye Valley and Symonds Yat just 40 minutes from our doorstep. And if the sea calls, pack a picnic and head to the coast — Weston-super-Mare and Porthcawl are your nearest beaches, but our favourite is Newton Beach in Porthcawl. With its sand dunes, sea views, and dog-friendly shoreline all year round, it’s the perfect spot for a windswept wander or a sunny day out with the whole family — four-legged friends included.
