Luxury shepards hut Norfolk! Brand new for 2022, set on 3 acres of land❣

This beautiful brand new shepards hut is set in the heart of the broards national Park, Norfolk. We are a 3 minute walk to Hickling broard and a 5 minute drive to our stunning coastline. The thing thats special about your stay with us at 'Breathing Space Hickling' is that we are a holistic retreat that has been running over 10 years. So weather you would like to use this idyllic spot as a base to explore, relax in nature or book into see one of our therapists, the choice is yours! It's perfect to come alone or with a partner or friend.

Over the summer period we are lucky to have a pop up bar and pizza place and bar at the end of our road right next to the water. There's also a pub around the corner and a tescos 6 minuites drive.

We have an outdoor kitchen and are also looking to provide organic meals on request with notice, otherwise subject to availability.

Beautiful Norfolk Hut

Everything about the stay was fabulous, the hut is well designed and beautiful with gorgeous quiet surroundings. Location is fantastic for visiting the beautiful Norfolk broads and coast. We already want to return!

Fantastic 4 day break in the cosy shepherds hut - check in was hassle free and accommodation ready on arrival - kitchen facilities were more than adequate - location was peaceful and quiet with a couple of local pubs The Pleasure Boat & The Greyhound both within walking distance - Wi-Fi was easily connected too - great location to get to all the local tourist areas - only downside was lack of draws/storage for our clothes - fantastic hospitality from the host from arrival to departure will definitely be returning.

The hut was perfect , cozy and very clean in a lovely quiet relaxing location and a perfect base to experience the beautiful near by beaches . We would highly recommend this location and you will not be disappointed and we will definitely be booking again in the future. We absolutely loved it

Just Beautiful

Really beautiful well thought out hut in a peaceful and relaxing place, just want you need to unwind and get away from the city life.The hut had everything we needed, it also had an outdoor kitchen area with a bbq. Just a really lovely place. I definitely recommend.

Wonderful little relaxing retreat. Everything spot on. Great location for the broads and the beach. Lots in walking distance too. Sheapherd hut was high quality, cleanliness and amenities spot on. Opportunity for improvement would be to support non greeting check in with images of room, parking and key storage Ovarall 5* stay Mr Secretan

Our stay at the Shepherd's Hut

We were very impressed with this property. The location is very peaceful in grounds with a lovely lake and lots of outdoor space. The team on site were friendly, approachable and hospitable. The property itself was clean, as listed and well thought out in terms of layout and content. The pop up pizza bar on the broads was a short walk away. We would recommend booking if hoping to eat at any of the local restaurants / pubs. This was a relaxing, low tech break in beautiful surroundings. We would recommend it for a quiet break away and we will be back.

The sage green shepherds hut, Hickling Heath.

The property has been decorated very tastefully and was immaculate. Only one comment to make and that is I wish there had been a stool to climb up onto the bed, and an obvious welcome sheet as we only found that on our last evening. Like the trays were in the cupboard and how to work the hob. Other than that couldn’t fault it.

Simply Perfect

This property surpassed any expectations I had and delivered on every count. It was immaculately kept and had everything we could possibly need for or short break. The bed was super comfy and the sheets were divine. The bathroom was also perfect, clean and well stocked with beautiful products. The little touches did not overpower the decor and we felt relaxed instantly. I would thoroughly recommend this property for anyone who wants a secluded and blissfully quiet getaway. Communication from the host was wonderful and we were given tips on where to visit and the overall surrounding area. We explored the village and walked to the pub, which although was unfortunately full for food, was friendly and welcoming.

Idyllic and amazing

The hut was amazing in every way! I loved all of the small details and accurate planning of the overall design. The hut was warm and the bed was super comfy. Completely relaxing with the added advantages on daily visitors of wild rabbits, ducks, various birds and even a baby deer one day. The purpose of my visit was to visit nearby family who were experiencing many difficulties so the days were hectic but returning to the hut at the end of a hectic day was a very welcome and relaxing experience. Tje area is rek own for poor wifi signal but I did manage to get a good enough signal for videocalls and spotify in and outside of the hut. My advice would be to bring some form of independent entertainment for background noise as it is extremely quiet. Overall an amazing stay and just perfect for my needs.

Peaceful and uncomplicated

No TV, no oven, not even a table inside. So no distractions. We needed the time out of the rush of relocation, and when I saw this advertised I knew it was for us. A short walk from the staithe at the Pleasure Boat Inn, which is currently running a magnificent pizza van as well as an outside bar - try the Woodfordes Wherry. The Norfolk Wildlife Trust runs tours on Hickling Broads from their nearby reserve HQ. We took the evening one, the best time to see Hickling. The staff at Heath Priory are a delight, it is not just huts and cabins, many alternative therapies such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Vibrational Sound Therapy are on offer from a range of local practitioners. The hut, though small, was well designed, and suitable for those who travel light. If all you need is a camera, sketchbook, or notebook and pencil, and space to think, this is you place.
