Babbacombe House is a luxurious holiday property with an unrivalled location. Based directly on the famous Babbacombe Downs in Torquay, every front-facing room has stunning, far-reaching views. From the minute you enter the property, you are greeted by high ceilings and high quality fixtures and fittings. The open plan kitchen/dining room on the ground floor oozes class with marble worktops and high end appliances as well as a Smart TV to watch while socialising or hosting a dinner. There is also a separate ground floor toilet and bunk bedroom just off of the kitchen/dining area on this floor. Through the hallway and the ground floor living room, although slightly snug for the size of the property, has bay-fronted windows with views over Babbacombe Downs green, which you could sit in front of and watch all day. Upstairs on the first floor are two queen-sized bedrooms, both with plenty of clothes storage and Smart TVs. Both bedrooms have doors connecting them to a large walk-in wardrobe and both also have access to a large bathroom containing free standing bath and separate walk-in shower. On the second floor are three further bedrooms, one kingsize bedroom with an en-suite shower room, one super king-size bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower and finally a double bedroom with another en-suite shower room. All of the bedrooms are generous in size and are decorated to impress. Finally, up the last set of stairs to the third floor on the landing there is a ’mini kitchen’ with fridge for storing drinks and a sink, from the landing there is a door which leads out onto a large roof terrace with breathtaking panoramic views. A truly fabulous area where you can sit out and relax after a long day at the beach, or for simply sunbathing and socialising all day without being overlooked or disturbed in any way.
As Babbacombe House is directly on the front of the downs, in each direction is a wide variety of restaurants, bars and cafés for guests to choose from all at your doorstep, as is the large green across the road. Babbacombe beach, Oddicombe beach and Crab beach are all within walking distance, less than a mile away. The main town of Torquay, with its marina and seafront, is also just 2 miles downhill. There is a huge variety of things to do nearby for both adults and children, whether that be visiting the local Princess Theatre to watch a show or play, a round golf or collecting tickets around the arcades and competing against each other at the local bowling alley. Whether you are visiting Torquay especially or are just looking for a large get together with plenty to do nearby, Babbacombe House is the perfect choice.

Beautiful House
This house is perfect for group holidays. Great location with beutiful sea view. All the rooms were spotless with a large kitchen and living room. The roof terrace provides a great outdoor space with the most fantastic views. Cant recommend this place enough

We were a party of nine using Babbacoombe House as a base for walking for the first week in November
We were a party of nine using Babbacoombe House as a base for walking for the first week in November. The house was warm, comfortable and very roomy, and the kitchen ideal for self-catering. We were very happy with our stay there. Tony, the proprietor, was always on hand in case he was needed - not that we had any call on him. Babbacombe itself and St Marychurch are interesting and attractive with splendid sea views from high vantage points. St Marychurch has a selection of shops and local supermarkets and highly recommended fishmongers. There is also a large shopping park about 20 minutes drive away. It is also served by a bus. The area offers plenty of places to eat out and for takeaway fish and chips Hanbury's is the place to go. There are regular bus services to many destinations including Torquay and Torquay station.

Fabulous
This house is fabulous in every way. It is immaculate throughout and is in a very central location in Babbacombe. The views from the front of the house and the roof top terrace are breathtaking. Every room is decorated and maintained to a very high standard. 10 of us have just returned from a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. The owners have thought of everything that is needed to make for an enjoyable stay, and they were so welcoming even leaving some birthday surprises for me on arrival. If I could give more than 5 stars then I would as it was that fabulous but as I can’t the only thing I can do is to just reiterate how superb both the owners and the house are and would thoroughly recommend. Thank you Jackie and Tony.
