Good location but not well looked after at all
The property was nicely decorated and cute, but is not well serviced or cleaned. Every ceiling & wall covered in cobwebs. I counted 21 spiders total, the hall lightbulb was FULL of dead flies and 1 big yellow slug in the kitchen plug hole, the kitchen skylight filled up with flies every day even with windows closed. We had 17 in there by day 3.Red pen & bobbling wear on the bed sheets, mould marks & stains on grey pillow case. Opened the under-bed drawers to put clothes in & found a smelly towel and what was either food sauce or vomit pooling in one of them. The few towels provided were all wacky sizes & kitchen tea towel smelled like puke. No proper cleaning products provided so had to go out and buy some.Cheese grater & kitchenware were caked in old food & grease so everything needed cleaning before use. Door lock surround was broken, which felt unsecure.Mud & short bristly dog hair all over the stair railings in kitchen, and all light fittings and vents were full of dead insects & dust.The Welcome folder bin dates are 3 yrs out of date. Internet connection was barely usable. The 2nd bedroom smelled weird.Perfect location for days out. Comfy bed.Seriously if you just spend some time and effort cleaning and checking this adorable little cottage properly with care, love, and attention after use, buy clean linens and towels, and provide some decent cleaning products for guests it would be absolutely perfect. Could easily go from just OK to OUTSTANDING.
