Lodge in the heart of the Leventina (STÈLA)

Overlooking the Leventina mountains, Stèla is a delightful residence in the village of Nivo, a hamlet of the better known Chironico. 

Ideal for families or groups of friends who love sports, but also for couples looking for a place to relax and enjoy unspoilt nature. 

The apartment has a small but comfortable living room with TV and a large corner sofa, which becomes a single bed for the night (Please note: The sofa bed will not be prepared as a bed for your arrival, as we deem it proper to use it as a sofa during the day. You will find the bed linen, pillows and blankets in the wardrobe/shelf closest to the sofa.); a fully equipped kitchen to prepare lunches and dinners just like at home; a dining area with a table for 4 people in addition to the round one near the cooker. 

STÈLA is a simple but very cozy solution with everything you need for a special mountain holiday, such as the inevitable stove to keep warm on the coldest days.

There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds.

The apartment concludes with a bathroom with bathtub.

From the window and the small terrace you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the peaks and valleys of the area, a landscape that changes colour and excites us in every season!



Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided. 

We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

Smoking is strictly prohibited. 

Any commercial activity within the apartment is prohibited.



The house does not have private parking, but it is possible to park in the free public parking spaces in Nivo.

Nivo is a small hamlet of Chironico, a picturesque village in the Leventina Valley, where you can breathe the atmosphere of the high mountains, albeit only 40 minutes from the nearest town, Bellinzona.

Chironico is an important destination for climbers from all over Europe: it is here that many sportsmen come to boulder in the Bouldering Area created thousands of years ago. From Chironico, it is also possible to reach the magical Chironico lake, through one of the many paths that start and pass through the town.

Faido, the largest municipality in the Leventina, can be reached in 10 minutes by car: here you will find 3 supermarkets, a famous bakery that produces typical products, 2 pharmacies, a butcher\'s shop and a dairy store selling local products.

Among the most visited natural landscapes in the area there are the wonderful Piumogna waterfalls, very popular with tourists in summer. For mountain lovers, there are many trekking routes on the peaks of Pizzo Pettine, Pizzo Molare, Pizzo Forno and Carì, famous for its very popular ski area during winter.



How to arrive:

By car, both from the south (Bellinzona) and from the north (Erstfeld) from the A2 motorway, take exit 44-Biasca towards Biasca / Lucomagno and set the GPS: In 10 minutes you will reach the apartment.

By train, from Bellinzona take the train towards Basel and get off at Lavorgo station. From here take bus No. 123 towards “Chironico, Grumo” and get off at “Nido, Paese”.
