We are Bertel & Co from SydensFeriehuse, a small family-run agency specialising in authentic holiday homes in Catalonia.

The story of SydensFeriehuse began in 2003 when we spent a holiday in Catalonia and became friends with a local property owner. What started as helping her rent out her holiday home gradually developed into SydensFeriehuse, built on personal relationships, trust and a genuine love for the region.

Today, more than 20 years later, SydensFeriehuse represents hundreds of carefully selected holiday homes throughout Catalonia. We know the properties, the owners and the surrounding areas extremely well, and we personally visit the homes we work with whenever possible.

What matters most to us at SydensFeriehuse is personal service. We are not a large booking platform where guests become booking numbers. We enjoy helping guests before, during and after their stay, whether it is recommending restaurants, suggesting day trips, arranging a private chef, helping with transport or simply answering questions about Catalonia.

Many guests return to SydensFeriehuse year after year, and we consider that the greatest compliment we can receive.

When SydensFeriehuse first started working with holiday homes in the region more than 20 years ago, we quickly realised that Catalonia offers something truly special. Few places in Europe combine beautiful landscapes, Mediterranean climate, rich culture, excellent food and genuine hospitality in quite the same way.

We often joke with our French guests that Catalonia is "the sunny side of the Pyrenees". The mountains help create a fantastic climate with warm summers, mild springs and long outdoor seasons.

One of the reasons SydensFeriehuse continues to focus exclusively on Catalonia is the incredible variety. One day you can relax by your private pool, the next you can visit a local market, explore a medieval town, enjoy a wine tasting, cycle through beautiful countryside or spend the day on the Costa Brava. And of course, Barcelona is always within reach for a memorable day trip.

Even after more than two decades, the team at SydensFeriehuse still discovers new places and experiences in Catalonia, which says a lot about how special this region really is.

Many of our homes feature private swimming pools, spacious gardens, outdoor dining areas and plenty of room for families and groups to spend quality time together.
