Gorgeous and quirky, loved staying here.

What a gorgeous and quirky place to stay! It was full of character and had such a unique charm that made the whole experience really memorable. The accommodation was comfortable, welcoming, and had everything I needed for a lovely stay. The only slight downside was that I kept banging my head on the low kitchen ceiling and on the stairs, but that's probably part of the quirky character of the property! It certainly gave us a few laughs along the way. Overall, I absolutely loved staying here and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for somewhere a little different and full of personality.

Down a quiet street in Deal

Facilities at Noggins were excellent and comfortable. The cottage is close to the beach, and we were lucky to have sunshine throughout our stay, so we didn’t spend much time indoors. There are shops and pubs nearby. Do take note of the comment about the stairs—quite tricky, even for able-bodied people.

Beautiful Cottage

Great position; very well equipped; a wonderful, cozy home for a couple or family. Just be aware that, as with many properties in this area, the stairs are very steep!

Quriky cottage

Property had everything you needed, comfortable beds and very quirky. Loved the kitchen in the basement and enjoyed studying the world map. Location was perfect few steps to the beach and less than a five minute walk into the town. Quirky shops and most doggy friendly. Deal was amazing highly recommend the King's Head for perfect pub food and the Bean and Welly for breakfast. Perfect holiday in a perfect cottage.

Beautifully presented but tight space-wise

We enjoyed staying at Noggin, and found that it has been beautifully decorated and presented. For our family however, we found it quite tight space-wise. We found the spiral staircase to be restrictive for taller people, especially going down to the kitchen. The low ceiling in the kitchen was also restrictive for our son, who couldn't stand up straight in there! We found the table and chairs in the kitchen to be in a tight space and getting in and out was a bit awkward. We also found the ensuite in the master bedroom to be very tight, and thought just a loo and basin in there would have suited us better. However, the downstairs bathroom, sitting room and master bedroom were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped, although I couldn't find a tsp/tbsp measure set or any weighing scales, both of which we needed. I also think that a greater stock of cutlery would have been helpful, to avoid the need to keep washing up dirty things out of the dishwasher. Great saucepans and crockery though, and loads of glasses. I don't want this to sound all negative - the beds and bedding were fantastic, and the decor and design features were wonderful. We also liked the little utility area, which was very useful, and there was plenty of space for drying wet clothes etc.

Great location, great interior design, not the most comfortable

We found the layout tricky, super narrow stairs, kitchen in the basement, everything looks a lot bigger in the photos. No shampoo, body wash etc so we had to go out and buy that.

Relaxing long weekend

The cottage is comfortable, well-equipped and in a great location. The thought and care the owners have put into creating a welcoming, charming and relaxing holiday home is evident throughout and it feels like the much-loved family retreat they describe in the instructions book. We had a really enjoyable stay in the house and we loved Deal and the surrounding coastline. We were lucky with the weather and did three wonderful walks, along the coast to Ramsgate via Sandwich; an inland circular walk; and from Dover (we got the bus there) back to Deal along the coastal path. It was great to return to Noggin at the end of every day!

Great location, stylish house, but a bit dusty

The house is stylishly decorated, but we prefer a house that has fewer accessories, to create more peace and space for our own stuff. Also, it feels dusty due to the accessories and amount of textiles (a lot of plaids, cushions, etc). The Keepers Cottages team is great though. In our first stay we had problems with the boiler system and the Keepers Cottages team provided a nice alternative with Noggin. The location is great, right on the beautiful Deal coast, close to the pier and all the restaurants. We had a great time at the Southeastern coast!

Bank holiday break

Delightful cottage and very quirky. Comfortable with a great vibe. Location perfect as we could walk to many a restaurant and the sea front and not worry about having to drive at all. Didn’t realise about the steep stairs in the property which started off as little nerve wracking but after the first night I was ok. My fault for not reading the description thoroughly. The only thing to let the property down was some huge cobwebs in en-suite and mouldy bread left in bread bin. Also the light on 2nd floor landing very dim and flickering. But overall a very positive and enjoyable stay.

Beautifully designed house

Had a great 2 weeks at Noggin in August. One of the many and varied little fisherman’s cottages in Deal, it’s on 4 floors and beautifully designed and well equipped. I’ve stayed in quite a few of them over the years, but this one is an interior designers dream and made it a pleasure to stay in as a family. The kitchen is properly equipped and it has the feel of a home rather than a seaside rental. No cheap furniture and peeling wallpaper there. The stairs are steep and you learn not to bang your head, but the pirates were a bit shorter when the house was built. It’s just off the sea front, it’s a short walk to the beach for an early morning dip in the provided Rowling robes. And the Deal high street is a coupe of minutes. Highly recommended. Camilla and the team at Keepers were great as ever.

A home from home!

We had the most wonderful time at noggin! It felt like a true home from home, everything we possibly needed was there. As an interior designer myself I spent half of the time appreciating the beautiful decor, so much thought has gone into it and it truly shines through! The beach is literally a stones throw and parking is easy! Can’t wait to stay again, as always keepers cottages we’re super helpful.
