Coqueto apartamento en el Barrio de las Letras en Madrid

Piso en alquiler totalmente decorado y equipado.
Se trata de un precioso apartamento ubicado en la segunda planta de un edificio clásico, con ascensor.
Destaca el ambiente acogedor de cada estancia con un toque fresco y moderno.
La vivienda diferencia el área social del área privada para tener mayor privacidad y tranquilidad. Así, el área social se compone de una cocina independiente totalmente equipada con menaje y todos los electrodomésticos. En la fachada principal hay dos balcones por los que entra la luz natural al gran salón comedor, además cuenta con zona de trabajo.
La zona de descanso cuenta con tres dormitorios, todos ellos con armarios empotrados de suelo a techo. Dormitorio principal con cama de matrimonio y baño en suite, un segundo dormitorio con dos camas individuales, un tercer dormitorio con una cama individual, un baño completo y un aseo.

La vivienda cuenta con sistema de climatización en todas las estancias.
Suministros incluidos en el precio: Electricidad, calefacción, Internet de alta velocidad y agua.

Nosotros tenemos cuna. Si tú necesitas la cuna, dínoslo con antelación.
Hay posibilidad del check in temprano y check out tardío, pregúntanos. Tiene un coste adicional.

Excelente ubicación al encontrarse en un uno de los barrios más emblemáticos de Madrid, con una gran oferta cultural, de ocio, restauración y comercial. A escasos metros de la Puerta de Sol y la Plaza Cibeles.

Se cobra una fianza de 295€. Dicho importe se devolverá, una vez revisada la vivienda y comprobado que se encuentra en buen estado.

Hubo un problema con el agua. No habia agua fria para templar el agua de un baño y la caliente era totalmente insuficiente para cuatro personas.

Very convenient location - great place and would definitely stay there again. Beds were a bit hard and shower control in guest bath was very difficult to operate but overall a wonderful place!

When we checked into this apartment and there was no water or electricity. I called the owner and spoke to him. He sent the maintenance men, over an hour later the arrived and got the electricity on but said the water heater was old and had surged the electricity causing all to fail. He indicated that the water heater needed to be replaced. We did not have hot water and could not shower. I expected and paid for a luxury apartment and did not even get the basics. The late the next day we moved to another apartment that had electricity and hot water. This apartment was not nearly as well appointed as the one advertised on the website and for which i paid.  Attached are photos of the second apartment and the damages/defects. They include crayon marks on the wall stains on entry table, stickers on floor, old worn out couch with missing buttons, broken chairs in dining room, malfunctioning toilet in master bedroom. I spoke to both the owner and VRBO about a refund or compensation for the lack of basic necessities and services, neither of which was provided.

La casa si trova in posizione eccellente. A due passi dalle zone principali d'interesse. Strada tranquilla e camere da letto molto silenziose. Letti comodi. Tuttavia i bagni avrebbero bisogno di un po' di manutenzione

This is truly a first rate apartment in a great location. There is ample space, carefully renovated and detailed. The appliances are new and all work perfectly. The attention to lighting and material finishes is a real asset. There is ample storage throughout and also a desk areafor work if needed.The street is wonderfully quiet and has several shops, cafes and restaurants as well as complete Pharmacy. We walked everywhere since the location is so central. And there many great restaurants within a four block area. A favorite was the Belles Artssidewalk cafe just around the corner.We were there for ten days and nine nights and still feel that there is so much more to see and.Madrid is an absolutely amazing city.When we return we will definitely look forward to renting this five star apartment again.

Close to metro and easy to get to from airport. Check-in easy enough. Unfortunately the tap in main bathroom broke on the first night and we could not switch it off, so needed to work out how to switch off the water to the whole apartment. The owner had some issues getting a plumber in (over weekend) so we moved down to a similar apartment on the first floor, which was okay but a bit more dated. But it served its purpose and we could walk to most places within 10 - 15 mins. Overall I would recommend esp. if you are not overly fussy. We would stay there again.

Ok location, not great communication

Location was easy and central but there’s construction going on this small road plus some restaurants that got noisy at night plus a consulate with loads of folks lining up in the morning on this narrow road. The washing machine wasn’t working and the owner plaid it would be fixed the next day but it wasn’t and they didn’t communicate updates. They also said they’d reimburse us for our laundry expenses because of the inconvenience but they never did. Aside from that frustration and the noise, it was a spacious place for our family of 4 with good proximity to places we wanted to visit.

This apartment is in the perfect location but, due to construction across the street, is very hard to access by taxi, especially with luggage. It does have a very small washing machine (I didn't see a dryer) but it was easier to go a few doors down to use a Laundromat and do all our wash at once. There was no coffee or tea, bring your own or go to the cafe across the street. Make sure you don't leave one of the keys in the lock inside when you leave or it will require a locksmith to get back in. It would have been helpful if the owner had posted a sign reminding of that on the interior of the door, since not all renters will know that.

Do Madrid like a local

We took a Tapas Tour the first night with a company called Devour. Dani was a great tour guide, giving us lots of tips for the next few days. The apartment is on a street where locals gather at a coffee shop in the morning and a friendly bar in the evening. We walked easily to the three main art museums. Also the other day trip to Toledo. Easy walk to the Big Bus.

Clean apartment but impersonal feel

The Madrid apartment was very clean and professional, but lacked a homely touch. This was the only apartment of the 3 in our Spain trip, that did not have a starter set of basics like sugar/salt/oil. Location was very convenient, but we would have liked to know about the construction on the road that led to the building. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were adequate for our needs. We got the key from lockbox on entry.

Great location but apartment needs some improvements

The apartment is in a great location...central and within walking distance to most places in Madrid. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, there is currently major construction going on in the building right across the street. The street is closed off and there is a huge dumpster right in front of the building as well as debris. The construction workers arrive around 8am and things got pretty loud during the week. Nothing to do with the apartment itself but it is a bit of a nuisance. The apartment common areas were spacious but the bedrooms were small, no room for luggage. We spread everything out in the living area. We were a family of 5 and each of us got one pillow, one bath towel, and one hand towel. No extras. The towels were threadbare and mine had holes in it. I would suggest the owners buy new towels and have extras available.The biggest issue we had was the hot water in the showers. Even though we spread our showers out, there was never enough hot water for everyone. We all also had to use the master bath because the guest bath water was unpredictable. My daughter was mid shower when the water went scalding hot. Very dangerous especially if you have young kids. The kitchen had bare minimums. No salt, pepper, or sugar. No paper towels. Three or four drinking glasses. Two wine glasses. There is a Moka pot but no electric coffee maker. I suggest the owner put a little more effort to make the apartment a little more welcoming for those staying there.

Great location, plenty of space and on a quiet street

We really enjoyed the space, plenty of room for all four of us (could have accommodated 1 or 2 more) and location within the city is great, walking distance to many sights and great restaurants. It was easy to get in and out and we also really liked how quiet the street was we did not hear any noise and due to being a light sleeper. There is a small elevator to get up to the apartment if you have heavy bags. Would definitely stay again

Disappointed

The positives of this apartment is that is was comfortable and spacious enough for three adults, each with their own room, had 3 bathrooms, and was centrally located. The host was communicative throughout the reservation process and when we first arrived. However, they were silent for 2 days when we wrote about the scalding hot showers and our inability to take a shower! The emergency number that was left for us did not work. We finally had to contact VRBO who got in touch with one of the property managers. He did not speak English so we had a hard time communicating with our limited Spanish. We spent an entire morning of our vacation trying to explain the problem, take videos and send them to him as requested. Finally he sent over a technician who determined that both showers were broken. He fixed one and said he'd get a needed part and return, which he never did. How a host does not know that the two showers are broken is beyond us! We did not take showers for 3 days because of this, then could only use one shower. Other problems, the kitchen was not stocked with basic necessities like salt, paper towels, and a decent coffee maker, which was identified as an issue in several other reviews. We were given only 1 dish towel and 1 extra small garbage bag, as well as 1 small roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. If you are renting for one week, the supplies need to be appropriate for one week! In addition to the above, the electricity went out 1-2 times per day for no reason.

Lovely apartment but that construction mess 😱

Lovely apartment in the heart of Madrid, close to a lot of attractions. Lots of great restaurants nearby. A grocery store across the street and one bigger a few blocks away. Ok but the approach to the apartment - 😱😱😱 A previous customer had mentioned it but it’s nothing compared to facing the reality. It was so bad when we got there. Basically it’s an statement in a narrow street full of apartments on either side. And they are tearing down the interior of the apartment across or something like that😅 there’s a huge dumpster right outside this apartment, and the dump truck was covering the entrance to the road when we got there and food packaging from the workers (i think) littered the street leading up to the survey our first morning. It gets slightly better through the day but is still messy. You get into the assistant though and it’s lovely. Well appointed, comfy beds, clean bathrooms, etc. If you can stomach/ignore the approach, this is a great apartment. I’d stay here again if that gets sorted out. The property team was very responsive and helpful along the way.

Very nice, great location

Location was great. Property was presented as advertised. Excellent communication with the owners. My one suggestion would be to have an extra pillow for each bed. Otherwise, we were very happy with our stay.

Madrid trip

My family and I stayed in Madrid while visiting our daughter who is studying abroad for the semester. The location of the unit is great with easy access to a lot of areas and the metro. The only negative was the construction going on directly across the street, which is not an issue with the host property buy did effect the overall experience. Otherwise a great property, with great communication.

Ideal family apartment in the heart of the city

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our weekend family trip of 5 adults. The apartment had everything and the check-in and check-out experience was very smooth. Although the apartment is very centrally located, it was quiet at night in particular. Would gladly visit again. Thank you for the great service!
