Welcome to Woodland Lodge — a cosy base camp for exploring Suffolk.
Set among the trees at the edge of our site, Woodland Lodge is the practical one of the family. It sits beside our little car park, just off a quiet country lane — so you can park by the door, unload in seconds, and come and go as you please. If your kind of holiday is out-all-day exploring and back for a cosy evening, this is the one guests keep coming back to.
And it's a proper cute cubbyhole to come home to. Sleeping up to six across two bedrooms — a double with a premium Eve mattress, a second room with bunk beds, plus a sofa bed in the living room — it's our roomiest accommodation, with a real log fireplace for the evenings and a 65-inch 4K OLED TV for family film nights when the day's adventures are done.
The kitchen has a hob and an airfryer for easy meals (no oven — the BBQ outside covers the rest), bed linen and towels are included, and the WiFi is fast and reliable inside. Dogs are welcome too (£24 cleaning fee per stay).
As a base, it's hard to beat: Bury St Edmunds — with its cathedral, Abbey Gardens, market and restaurants — is ten minutes away, the West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village is five, and the walking trails of the King's Forest and Lackford Lakes are on the doorstep. Back at the lodge, light the fire, or hire one of our smokeless fire pits (£25 with a bundle of wood) for marshmallows outside.
If you want deep-woodland seclusion, our pods and Pod Hollow are the better pick. If you want an affordable, comfortable base for six (and the dog) to explore Suffolk from — Woodland Lodge is exactly that.
