Voortrekker apartments - Quinni - Hot Tub & Sauna area
Voortrekker Shetland adult only apartments and Spa (hot tub & sauna) have unspoilt breathtaking views across the South East side of Shetland, right from the comfort of the place.
Our in-house apartments are all self contained, Quinni being our most spacious and private, sits upstairs with it's own balcony with summer bbq and double patio doors. This open plan apartment is spacious with plenty of storage, kitchenette with all the cooking & extra amenties. There is separate Shower bathroom with electric towel rail. Quinni is uniquely handcrafted like all our apartments with reclaimed historical local materials, with everything needed to relax and enjoy a holiday whilst taking in the stunning scenery.
From within the apartment enjoy the splendour of the Southpund cliffs of Quinni Geo and to the south part of the area. The private balcony enjoys full panoramic views with the afternoon sun and stunning sunset colours gracing the sea and skyline.
Levenwick beach is minutes by car, 25mins to Lerwick, 40mins to the North. Idyllic place to bird watching, sea life, rambling across the cliffs and much more.
Levenwick is ideally situated within easy access to the main road to explore the whole island.

GUEST ACCESS: We greet our guests on arrival and show to the apartment. Guests have their own private access to their apartments. There is direct access from our property to venture across the fields onto the Levenwick Cliffs below.
We are committed to a high standard of cleaning which has as always been at the top of our list.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Shetland has very changeable weather, one can experience four seasons in one day so come prepared and pop some midge repellent in with your essentials. Travelling can be challenging with our weather so expect the odd delay. NB: We recommend travelling with essentials in your ""hand luggage"" in the event your bag does not turn up on arrival.
Please let us know if you have any pet allergies or animal phobias. We have two tiny human friendly dogs. Due to our dogs having a heart condition and anxiety issues we are unable to accept any animal.

Idyllic retreat
Beautiful, clean fully equipped accommodation. Hosts have thought of everything, and we were able to arrive early/ stay later due to the ferry times - which was so kind of them.
We visited many sights, and wandered on the cliffs and saw puffins and sea otters, as well as other wildlife.
Really would recommend staying here if you love beautiful views, peace and quiet.

Amazing holiday destination
The property is immaculate and beautiful, very comfortable with fabulous views. Location is great for exploring by car or on foot. Niki and Piet are really excellent hosts, very accommodating and great to talk to. The sauna and hot tub are fabulous too. We had such an enjoyable holiday, some highlights included getting married in Lerwick, a boat trip to Mousa and visiting the broch, exploring the Jarlshof site and walking across to St Ninians and walking around the island. 10/10!

Dream vacation
Would absolutely stay here again! The location is stunning and Niki is a great host. I'd never been to the UK before and forgot to specify an automatic for my car rental. She sent me taxi and bus info and had found me a new rental car with a different co (the only one who had an automatic available) by the time I got to the rental, and was also just a pleasure to talk to. Don't skip the spa, which is well-maintained and especially relaxing with its large windows facing the sea.

My husband is originally from South Africa where my parents immigrated to, from Southampton UK, in the 80's. We moved from Southampton to Shetland in 2012.
We love the thrill and vibe of the tourist season. Being a part of the guest experience makes what we do worth every minute of it. We enjoy engaging with guests but also senstive to their privacy.
Living in Shetland has given a sense of peace and freedom that is second to none and we see this as our forever place to live.
We have 2 wee dogs, a part time Bishcon, chickens, 2 goats and a herd of sheep that reside with us on our property.
