Puffin Lodge is a lovely & spacious 4 bedroom ‘New England' style holiday cottage overlooking Windrush Lake. It is furnished & equipped to a high standard. The open plan living area leads to south facing decking with gas BBQ, table, chairs & parasol.

The 4 x bedrooms can be configured as 1 double or twin beds with ensuite, 1 x double, 2 x doubles or twin rooms & family bathroom. Entertainment options include a 43” Smart TV with Freeview & board games. Great on-site facilities. Pet friendly.

Dad's 70th birthday

Excellent accommodation for our family stay. We hrld a party night in venue 80/81 which accommodated everyone. It was a great evening.

A birthday break

We spent 3 nights in the lovely and peaceful location. Patio was a good size and we used both the BBQ and hot tub which were good. There are well maintained grounds and well planted gardens surrounding the properties. Great activities on site: tennis, table tennis, pool and plenty of room to walk, play football and watch the wildlife. It was super to just walk down and paddle board on the lake immediately in front of the house. The next lake along (walking distance) is bigger with lots of other water sports facilities, all bookable. About 10 minutes drive away is an aqua park with crazy golf, 'beach' and cafe. Cirencester is near which is an interesting town with a twice weekly market and lots of independent shops. We ate in the house (there was a very well equipped kitchen) but saw lots of pubs in the area.

Lovely short stay

Lovely stay at puffin lodge. It’s on a lake you can stand up paddle on which is great. You can’t do that on all lakes (eg Spring lake) so worth checking. The home was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Hot tub was a real treat and our teenage daughter loved that day and night!

Lovely location ,lovely property , very relaxing

Booking procedures and accommodation was excellent. The property was very well maintained and an excellent layout for a large family of 6 to 8 people. Very quiet and relaxing, although this was out of season but felt we had the whole area to .ourselves. Lovely walk out around the lake to nearby facilities and although we didn’t use all of them there was enough there for plenty of choice. Sadly, we did book a fishing weekend, but not too sure how well stocked the ponds are as our party of fishermen had no bites all over the weekend, but perhaps that’s just their fishing techniques rather than the lack of fish in the pond A little expensive for three days, but between eight people , it probably is quite standard value.

Disappointing!

Upon walking into the property the hallway wall had dirty marks on it and really could have done with painting. The overall impression of the property was that it was very dated and needed a freshen up. The sofa was very old and very low, we all had trouble getting up from it and we did report this. The photos were very misleading as the property was a lot smaller than we initially were lead to believe. All in all a disappointing stay.

Beautiful lodge set in stunning scenery

The lodge that we stayed in was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and the living area was huge. The kitchen had all utensils and amenities. The location is superb, and looks straight out over the lake. The only negatives really were that the TV didn't work, so we had to ping our YouTube etc from our phones to the TV, and the outdoor BBQ was a little slow to cook but it cooked everything through which is the main thing. Overall, the lodge is lovely and would definitely return with friends again.
