Delightful property, large garden, heated pool, great place for a family holiday

Our house is situated in a tranquil village close to all the amenities in Savigne and Civray. The cosy house sleeps 6 people with the gite annexe an additional 4 people (the bedrooms in the gite will not be available for parties of 6 or less without prior arrangement and may include a small extra cleaning charge, the bathroom and kitchen will be open) .

The heated 10m x 5m pool will provide you with a great lazy days holiday set in a quiet private plot. There are sunloungers and poolside furniture under a retractable gazebo. The pool has a safety cover which conforms to regulations so is safe for the kids when not in use. It is your responsibility to keep the pool covered when not in use The pool will normally be open in April but is dependent on the temperature (usually needs to be 18 degrees or above). There are a selection of inflatable toys and beds provided.

The house has three bedrooms with two double rooms and a twin room. There is a travel cot available in the main bedroom.

The annexe has a small double bed and a single bed and there is a double bed sofa in the small lounge.

There is a large mature garden with plenty of space for children to play. There is a gas BBQ provided on a deck area. Please keep the BBQ clean and only use the pans provided. Please put the cover back over it should it rain.

There are plenty of local attractions and activities for those wanting a more active holiday. There is canoeing, cycling, horse riding, walking, tennis, golf, a water park all within an hour and a leisure centre in Civray amongst some of the activities available.

The beaches at Royan and La Rochelle are about an hour and half away. The Futuroscope park is about 45 minutes away at Poitiers.

The towns of Ruffec, Angouleme, Poitiers, Cognac and Niort are all in easy reach.

There is an information folder in the house and numerous tourism booklets with other local attractions.

The house unfortunately is not suitable for disabled guests, however it may be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Please feel free to contact host with any enquiries.

Fantastic little property

This is a delightful property in a small hamlet. The swimming pool is well appointed and provides a welcome addition on warmer days.The outside area is well maintained and is a tranquil setting in which to relax.

We had a very pleasant stay in Villa Don and Maria. Our host Nigel communicated well with us and was very accommodating. We were a party of 9 , 6 adults and 3 children. The house and annexe were suited to our needs. The swimming pool is superb, the children were never out of it all week. Gas BBQ got good use

Beautiful house, fab location. We had a perfect stay. The house is very well equipped, everything you need is available. Pool is a fantastic size and the gardens are beautiful and well kept. Location is ideal, a selection of large supermarkets locally and the market at Civray is def worth a visit. We loved it and would def visit again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this place with the whole family! The house was really clean and had al lot of space for everyone to spread out comfortably.The pool was honestly the star of the show as we spent hours in there and it was perfect for both the kids and adults. Location-wise, you get the best of both worlds as it is peaceful and quiet, but only 10 minutes to the shops where you can grab anything you need.One thing that really impressed us was how helpful the house manager was. Being able to just WhatsApp them with questions made everything so much easier! This is exactly the kind of place we were hoping for when we booked. Everything just worked smoothly, and we could actually relax and enjoy our holiday. Would definitely recommend it to other families!

Some needed down time.

Had a wonderful week in this beautiful property. It was so much more than we were hoping for. The house is tastefully decorated giving it a real homely feel along with French rustic charm, and was equipped with everything we needed. The Gite gave us even more space and equipment and is again beautifully decorated and maintained. The swimming pool is fantastic and was a real bonus in the hot weather. The shaded gazebo was also a lovely addition to the pool area. We used the large local supermarket and ate at home for 3 nights and found some great restaurants in the nearby villages to experience the local cuisine. The hosts obviously care about their guests experience and their property and we loved the welcome pack on our arrival. A great time was had by all. Thoroughly recommend.

Our family holiday

The photos do not do this property justice. Never stayed in a French village before so a bit reticent however what a lovely place. Secure, private, yet open and spacious. Inside the main property the open living area works very well and the smaller gite was an added bonus especially due to the added kitchen space and utilities on offer. The pool was fantastic such a great addition which we used almost every day despite the average weather. I would say for the money this is a gem and the passion and love the owners have clearly imprinted here speaks volumes. ‘Would love to come back’ is a bit of a cliche however it’s not an understatement with this property.

Merveilleux séjour à la campagne

La maison a un charme incroyable ! Il y a tout ce qu il faut c’est joli et chaleureux Elle est située dans un village très calme mais à quelques minutes d’une zone commerçante ce qui est pratique La piscine est sécurisée c’est parfait pour les enfants Les propriétaires sont sont très disponibles et à l’écoute Nous recommandons ++++

I am from Wales originally and now live in Lancashire. I have bought this property as a legacy to my late parents. The house was originally a farm property with the main house downstairs where the farm worker lived, upstairs being a hay loft. The Gite Annexe was an animal shelter. Where the kitchen sink is situated used to be the animal feed tray. I purchased the house from my inheritance from my mother and father (Don and Marina their photo is in the kitchen) as a memory and legacy to them. A lot of the items in the house are from their old house so have a lot of treasured memories for me. Please look after the house, they are watching you!!!
We hope you enjoy your stay here and return to see us again in the future. We will be making improvements for next year based on feedback.

I have enjoyed many holidays in rental properties in France and the UK so I hope to bring you a comfortable property to have a relaxing time. It is close to a lot of great amenities but is a great place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of busy life. The pool will keep you cool in the hot summer days.

I love the tranquility of the area, the space in the garden and the open fields and country walks. If you like a mix of activities and a rest this is the place for you.
It is well positioned with a South Facing garden so lots of sun, but does provide shady areas to cool down.
It's close to numerous amenities for every age.
