Fitch Mountain, esta antigua casa del río de 1927 ha sido bellamente renovada y modernizada con calefacción central / aire acondicionado, nuevas ventanas de doble panel, techos altos con vigas abiertas y todas las comodidades modernas, manteniendo su encanto y artesanía vintage. Russian river cottage

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had such a wonderful time staying at the river cottage. There was plenty of room for the two couples each having their own space. Access to the river and hut tub was a real bonus. The cottage had many updates and had everything we needed for our stay. The proximity to the town of Healdsburg wineries and canoeing down the Russian river were easy.I think the outside property could use a little TLC.

Lovely View, Great Location, and a Hot Tub!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean, the grounds were beautiful, the hot tub was awesome, and the view of the river glorious. GPS (both Google and Yahoo Maps) kept trying to take us to the other side of the river, but once we found it, we had no issues.

Great friends getaway

This property was just what we needed. Had a little trouble finding where to park the first night but the location was a great place to start our Wine Country adventures. The hot tub was great on the cold nights, and only being a couple miles from town meant we could easily get into town for pastries and Condor & Quail each morning. Road to the place was narrow so I wouldn’t recommend running/walking directly from the house, but did you really go to Wine Country to work out???

House could be great

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As a vacation rental owner myself I always look for a clean, well cared for rental. We paid $2,680 for 4 nights so we were thinking it would be wonderful. Arrived at check in to find the bed had been slept in and bathroom had wet towels. Agency sent a cleaner over and said they’d let me know when we could get in. Never heard back so we went at 5:30. Dark by then. Solar lights aren’t working on walkway so very hard to see to get in. With some extra care it could be a very nice rental. Lots of space. Suggestions would be to clean out the upstairs closet and arrange the pantry. Buy a simple toaster to replace the hard to use toaster oven. Take out the blinking security light in the bedroom. Backyard could be great but was a complete mess. Fix the torn up screen door. There were 5 remotes with the TV and nothing marked. It’s listed as a dog friendly rental. We paid an extra $150 for pet cleaning over and above the $175 cleaning fee. After 3 weeks we have still not received our $395 deposit back. A big plus was how nice Shante was and very eager to help. As requested we took out all the trash, did the dishes, and left the house in perfect condition.

House resort

This was a really nice, charming house in a unique location. The property was clean with good furnishings and bedding. The stove and oven were from 1922 but worked though there was a learning curve with the oven. The biggest complaint is poor lighting. There are a number of light bulbs out and the place was rather dark in many rooms. We finally took light bulbs out of areas we were not using and put them in places we were using. I don’t know if this is some sort of energy saving attempt, but pleas go out and buy some LED’s, go around the house and put in bulbs. The place would look so much nicer and up to potential and be more functional. Overall a great place that we hope to return to.

There are a few essentials for guests that we suggest. There were no outdoor chairs to bring down to the river to relax. We actually bought some at CVS and left them at the house for your future guests. Highly advise some comfortable pillows. We loved the kitchen!!!! Very quant space. We even saw river otters and a deer in the river cooling off. I suggest replacing that daybed downstairs. It’s very uncomfortable and loud with any movement. Overall, it was a great experience but could add a some touches for guest comfort.

Sweet home, great location

We didn’t spend nearly enough time enjoying this beautiful home because we were too “busy” floating in the river and jumping off the nearby jumping rock.. Great location, comfortable space, lovely kitchen and bathrooms- the river cottage was an overall wonderful place to enjoy a great time with our family. Wish we had booked it longer.

Wonderful Stay with Private Access to the River

My friends and I spent a long weekend here, and we could not be happier. There was plenty of space, well-supplied, and an amazing backyard with a hot tub and private river access (greater for relaxing on the shore, swimming, and a jumping rock!). Would definitely recommend and book here again.

High School Friends annual vacation

Plenty of sleeping space for all of us, and the property was very quiet and well maintained. Took the Healdsburg Wine & Food Walk one day, and would highly recommend it for adult friends/couples visiting the area. Also managed to drive to Occidental for dinner at Negri's one evening. It was every bit as good as I remember it as a child. My friends and I all agreed we would love to return one day!

High School Friends Reunion

This property was so cute and very well equipped. Very clean, and the 5 of us were each able to have our own bed. Quaint & picturesque, the only down side for us girls (old ladies) was the very narrow road, and difficult access down to the river......that said, would recommend it very highly, and would love to return for a stay in the future!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The four of us totally enjoyed our experience at the Healdsburg Riverside Cottage. The house was charming - held a cabin appeal. Very bright and cheerful! The kitchen was a favorite room with it's checked floor, antique stove and light green walls. We spent a lot of time on the attached deck off of the kitchen enjoying the River view and steaks on the grill provided. Lots of privacy for two couples with one queen bedroom/attached bath on the main floor and another queen bedroom/attached bath on the lower floor. It's located about 2 miles from the center of Healdsburg. We had no trouble getting transportation into the city to enjoy food and wine tastings. We enjoyed Healdsburg Bar & Grill, Duke's, and The Flight Deck and Williamson Tasting rooms. We also spent a very enjoyable day with Jonathan from Healdsburg Tours enjoying the Russian River wineries. There is off-street parking available at the rental and it was great to have laundry available. There are 8-10 steps to get from parking down to the cottage door. A very enjoyable experience overall!

Heaven in Healdsburg

We loved our stay at this property. The location is perfect; so close to town! We had a very minor glitch when we arrived at the house but all was straightened out flawlessly. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely home & would gladly book again when we return to wine country. The kitchen is just as adorable as it can be. The home is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Thanks & cheers!

Wine country getaway

It is the perfect location for visiting Healdsburg and the Dry Creek Valley. Even a day-trip to SF is convenient from here. The house was perfect for our needs. If you are challenged with stairs, this may not be the best choice for you. The view is wonderful and although there are neighbors on either side, it feels very secluded. We loved sticking out toes into the Russian River and enjoying the hot tub after a long day of wine tasting.

Vacation house with everything you need to make yourself at home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great vacation rental. We had girls weekend for my daughters 28th birthday. The house is well appointed in the kitchen with everything you need to make dinners at home. The bedrooms had very comfortable beds and linens. There are plenty of towels and linens provided. They even have beach towels! The home is located close enough to downtown Healdsburg and the square to do a quick Uber ride out to dinner, yet far enough away to feel like you are in the country. The three parking spots are great as there is no other parking available on the road. The sound of the rustling trees on the patio is delightful. It’s an easy walk down to the Jacuzzi. The rest of the way to the river is a little tough as the sand/dirt is very loose and you can easily slip going up and down to the stairs to the river. The sand gets very hot too! It would be hard for someone who is not in good shape or has balance issues. I wish there was a tiered stairway all the way to the river. There was no cell phone coverage at the house, however, there was WiFi, albeit not the best. To tell you the truth, I enjoyed the “disconnect”! This is an absolutely lovely home and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Hope your stay will be as enjoyable as ours was!
