We had an awesome stay! Diana was very quick to respond to messages. The condo was a little older but it met our needs with the space, plenty of kitchen supplies and cleaning supplies, several beach chairs and beach towels were provided, and the pool and hot tub were great! We loved the large lanai with a great view of the beach and ocean. We had very good sunset views and even saw dolphins playing close to the shore. The boardwalk along the ocean starts right next door which was awesome for our morning and evening walks. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice clean quiet pool.
Large comfortable living room with beautiful views.

Our first stay at the Polo Club our experience overall Five Star! The unit was beautifully maintained and clean with a spectacular view over the ocean.

Incredible stay!

Beautiful and outstanding property! We had convenient parking, an incredible view of humpback whales from our balcony, and it was truly a great experience. We will definitely come back next time we visit Maui again.

Awesome location

We had a great stay at the Polo Beach club, one of the best locations in Maui. Beautiful sunset every night. Nice updates with a new sofa/sleeper and chair in the living room.

Polo Beach Vacation

You can’t beat the location-best in the area. Love the view, the proximity to the beach walk, the convenience with the beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. It was better stocked than other units I’ve stayed in at Polo Beach. The only negatives: a little dated and pillows need replacing.

Location was great for us. Great views, we saw whales jumping almost every day. Went snorkeling right off the beach and saw plenty of turtles, an octopus, eels, and many colorful fish. Also had plenty of fun playing in the waves.

Great condo

Condo was great, comfortable, and very user friendly. Our interactions with the owner were easy and pleasant. The view from the lanai is stunning. The beach, pool, and hot tub are great. And the management office was helpful and kind. We can’t wait to come back!

Couldn’t have asked for more! Amazing ocean front view inside and out! The condo was very nice and clean and stocked with everything you need to start your vacation off stress free. The beds were comfortable and the property was very quiet. We enjoyed every minute of it! Hope to be back soon!!!

This is the one to get

For 1/2 the price of similar rooms next door five star hotels, this condo is everything they are not - private beach (none of the other similar properties are - this one is grandfathered in), more space, easy access to south side shore and walk to Premier shopping on the island. We will definitely rebook.

June 2023 family trip

This resort is a wonderful location and this unit has a terrific view. Communication with the manager was timely and helpful throughout the process. However, compared to other units in the same building that we have stayed in over the years, this one felt the least inviting. Some other units in this building feel very clean and well kept as if the owners maintain them to a standard they enjoy for their own vacations. This one has a bit of a budget feel and minor touches like prominent staining on aged furniture that doesn't seem to suit the price point for this unit.

Gorgeous Morning Views

The Unit was perfectly located and we love staying there. The condo was very comfortable it felt like home. However, the Cleaning service needs to do a better job …. I had to buy mold cleaner to clean the shower curtain in the hall bathroom, the under-counter light never stopped blinking, the windows need to be cleaned inside & out. More towels needed to be offered especially when you have five to six adults staying there. It was very much appreciated the uses of beach umbrellas, beach chairs and inner-tubes. The sliding-door in the master bedroom couldn’t be locked however waking-up and having access to the lanai from the master bedroom was wonderful. I hope to rent the unit again!

Amazing location and view, but needs a refresh

The pros: This apartment was right on Polo Beach and the lanai has a great view over the beach and toward the Northern side of Maui. We loved eating out on the lanai and the convenience of just going downstairs to get to the beach. We saw turtles swimming just off the beach while we were sitting on the lanai and enjoyed people watching and seeing the sunsets out there. Amazing. Access to the 3 mile Wailea walking path was just at the end of the parking lot out front- also very convenient. The pool was nice and my sons enjoyed playing in it when it was windy at the beach. In general this apartment had everything we needed for our stay, including beach chairs and beach towels. We didn't really cook but the kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfasts. In unit laundry was great. Parking was easy and laid back. We appreciated the separation between the bedroom with twin beds and the master bedroom. On the negative side: The apartment is really in need of some updating and some general upkeep like fresh paint and patching of holes in the walls. The backsplash in the kitchen was rusting out. Grout in the bathrooms had seen better days. The hardware around the lanai was corroded. The indoor seating was stained and worn. Not much lighting the bedrooms and some in the kids room didn't work. For some reason the air conditioning was much more powerful in the twin bedroom than the master and my kids were cold and used all the blankets in the apartment, while my husband and I were hot. None of that interfered with our enjoyment of Hawaii of course but for the price you might expect some of that to be taken care of. We were warned there was construction in the building which turned out to mean there was tile replacement happening on floors above us so very loud jackhammering and banging between 9am-3pm. Not a big deal if you're headed to the beach but something to be aware of. There were often scraps of broken tile that had fallen from the upper floors onto our floor so we were careful to wear shoes at all times. The check in was very easy though I found it confusing as the info had come in my email when I booked 5 months before our stay. The info was not available on the Vrbo app as I have experienced with previous rentals. Some of the check in/check out info was contradictory (checkin at 3pm or 4pm?) There was not much info in the book in the apartment either, just rules. In sum: Great view, convenient, good for families. Needs an update.

Polo Beach

The location can NOT be beat! You literally sit on the ocean and the balcony is secluded from others so it feels like you are in your own world! There are beach chairs and umbrellas that are provided which is a nice touch. It would have been awesome if a boogie board or two was available as well. The kids would have enjoyed that! The unit itself is nice. The furniture is subpar and could use replacing but all in all, we enjoyed our time. We didn’t come to Maui to sit inside so it wasn’t that big of a deal. The fact that there was a full kitchen and laundry in the unit made this mama so happy! Going home with all clean clothes :). We will be back!

This was my first rental and my experience was above expectation! The property was perfect for our needs. The private beach access was a huge plus. Beautiful sunset views from the lanai. The host is easy to deal with. We would definitely re-book this property.

Perfect Location

You are on the beach. Very quiet location. Pool and hot tub were nice. Booked last minute and owner was easy to work with. Could use some updating, but expected this from other reviews. Has everything you could need for a perfect, peaceful gateway.

Great Views Great Location

This is a nice condo in a great location with awesome views. It could really use some updating but we knew this based on the pictures in the listing, so I didn't deduct any points for that. We did have an issue with the TV not working in the master bedroom and could never could get through to Island Gophers, the property managers, their line was constantly busy. Eventually we were able to get ahold of the owners who said they would get in touch with Island Gophers. We never heard from anyone after that and the problem was never resolved, so we went without TV in the master for the rest of the week. Fortunately this wasn't a real emergency. Had we had a problem that really required maintenance I think we'd have been in trouble.

Amazing location!!!

We have stayed at several locations in the Wailea area, and this was by far the best spot. This condo is located in the Polo Beach Club, which is one of the older buildings (or maybe the oldest?) at the end of the road of mega-resorts. We're not mega-resort kind of people, so the Polo Beach Club was a perfect fit for us. It had a large hot tub and a nice pool, ordinary by mega-resort standards but my teens loved it because it had an actual deep end. Otherwise, the beach was *right there*, just steps from the building. The beach almost feels private, as the mega-resorts have their own beaches and the people tend to stay there. If you cross over to the neighboring beach, you can access a beautiful 2 mile long path that takes you along the ocean, in front of the mega-resorts, and even to a mall that has a great ice cream spot. The condo itself was ordinary, and I agree with previous posters that one of the armchairs could use a good cleaning. That said, everything else in the condo was clean and completely functional. I spent most of my indoor time on the patio anyway, which had comfortable furniture and the most amazing ocean view. We were there in whale season, and we saw whales constantly! The only real downside to this condo is that the kitchen is extremely small. It has all the things you need for cooking, but it is literally a one-person kitchen. This got a little tricky for our family of five, but it wasn't a huge deal as we were keeping meals as simple as possible. The condo came well-equipped with boogie boards, chairs, beach towels and beach umbrellas. The management was super responsive when I asked for bedding for the pull-out sofa and extra beach towels. I look forward to staying in the condo again in the future!!

Great location . condo very tired; sliding doors did not work, cloth furniture soiled badly.

Great location, friendly neighbours in well maintained building, Furniture in suite dirty/badly soiled; sliding doors do not work to patio and bdrm closet. Toilet seat repairs were roughly done and not reflective of rental cost.

perfect vacation

Great location. Awesome views terrific beach. Centrally located and one of the only properties this close to the sand. We had an issue with the AC yet it was handled immediately with ease and professionalism. Highly recommend this property.
