The cottage sits in an elevated position overlooking beautiful countryside and lies just over a mile from Haydon Bridge Village which has a small supermarket, butchers’ shop, newsagent, selection of shops, coffee shop and a choice of three local pubs. Upstairs, the master bedroom has an oak framed king size bed and looks out over the beautiful rolling countryside, the second bedroom is spacious with oak framed twin beds and will comfortably accommodate adults or children. The newly installed modern bathroom has a super walk-in shower, basin with vanity and backlit mirror. There is an additional toilet on the ground floor, again with backlit mirror and vanity unit. To the side of the cottage is an enclosed lawned garden with lovely surrounding views, set with table and chairs, ideal to sit and enjoy a meal or simply relax to the sounds of the countryside. For the safety of children, please note that as the property is roadside, children must be supervised when playing in the garden.



Walks and cycle routes from the door, Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park and the famous Vindolanda Roman Fort, The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world-famous Sycamore Gap are around 6 miles. South View is just 3½ miles from the Route 72 Cycleway from which to enjoy the spectacular countryside. A visit to the historic market town of Hexham is a must, boasting a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Continue to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge and meander round its boutique shops, art galleries and antique shops, stop for a coffee or take a stroll along the river. There is an abundance of eateries to choose from. The location is excellent for exploring the spectacular scenery of the north of England, the stunning Northumberland coast, the Scottish borderland, and the Lake District National Park, which is just an hour away. The vibrant city of Newcastle is under 30 miles away.
