La casa se encuentra en medio de tres lotes con mucho espacio para estacionar su embarcación de recreo cerca. Gran porche delantero para disfrutar de su café de la mañana y escuchar el canto de los pájaros. Tres amplios dormitorios y otra área para dormir en un gran porche trasero cerrado. La playa del golfo está a una milla y la playa norte, a unas dos cuadras de la casa. Todo a poca distancia.

Too rustic for us

This house is clean and beds are comfortable but that’s where the positive review ends. The neighborhood is very rustic. The house itself is very run down on the outside with a bright colored paint. Inside is a comfortable living room, dining room but there are many signs of water damage on the sides of furniture and floor boards. The kitchen is functional but there is little in the way of amenities. No garbage bags. The back area (sunroom) is old and the back area (where the grill is) is overgrown with a rickety porch and a pitiful table. This owner really needs to update this house in a myriad of ways. It is not up to par for VRBO my opinion.

Decent older home, clean, but the twin beds were uncomfortable, couldn't be helped that we got rained out, so we couldn't go to the beach.

Best vacation ever

We loved staying on the island. The house was very nice and as described. Cornhole boards, ladder ball, bikes and a grill to use included. The owners were very sweet and helpful. Our family loved staying there and look forward to coming back!

Great Place to stay

Needed just a one night rental on the island, and this was the only one available because the others have a 2 night minimum. Very clean and perfect!

A great stay!

The location was amazing! We were in town for the Conde Cavalier's Fishing Rodeo and we were right down the street from the location. Such a cute house and quiet neighborhood.

Great stay

We had a great time at Dauphin Island. This home was at the center of the island, or it seemed like it. The drive to the beach or anywhere on the island was easy from the house. The home owner was very sweet and responsive if we had a question or needed anything. I loved we could wash all of our beach stuff off outside the house too.

Great Escape

This is the perfect little home for a South Alabama getaway. Everything you need, and just feels like home. The hosts are great and excellent at communicating. If you need a 5 Star resort, go spend your money elsewhere….but if you need a great place for a family vacation on Dauphin Island this is the place!

Sweet Spot

Margie and Carroll are gracious and attentive hosts. They made sure we had a great experience on our first visit to Dauphin Island. The house had everything we needed including a roomy kitchen and comfortable beds. The location was convenient. The locals were all so welcoming. We were greeted with a smile and wave everywhere we went. Very comfortable and relaxing.

It’s a nice house that suits our needs perfectly.

The house is located in the center of the island with about equal distance to either end. It is bigger than what shows in the pictures. It can easily accommodate more than six people and we really appreciate the twin beds that is perfect for kids who don’t want to be in one queen bed. The washer/dryer and the fully equipped kitchen are a big plus for our vacation. And it is nicely decorated with ocean theme. We really enjoyed it.

Older home but clean

This home is old and needs a lot of updates, but it was as clean as you can get. The beds were comfortable. This home sleeps 9 but we only had 2 adults and 2 children and we all shared a bathroom, can't imagine sharing one bath with 9.

My husband has been a life long resident of Dauphin Island, Al. And I've been here as long as we've been married. And that a long time. We have three children and nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. We've raised our children here one this beautiful island. We love everything about this island from the beaches, boating, biking, and bird watching.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This property has been in the family for generations. So when it came available to buy we purchased it from the family. It had belonged to my husband grandmother and its the home where he grew up. It means a lot to us. Making it a vacation rental allows us to share it with other people. We treasure all those who have visited. It sits in the middle of three lots and joins the property where we live. We are never to far away to lend a helping hand or give some good advice on where to go to the beach or a great place to eat. Great seafood can be found at most restaurants.
