The host was great easy to contact and helpful made our stay there brilliant. An amazing villa with home from home touches comfortable beds and well stocked cupboards and fridge. Fabulous pool and outside area with amazing views of the city of chania and sea with Mountain View’s behind , a complete peaceful chill would return and come again.

It’s a nice house with fun amenities on top of the mountain overlooking Chania. It’s about 25 min drive to Old Town Chania. There were lots of cooking items. Lots of friendly cats too. Host was accommodating in letting us book an additional night. Good AC in the bedrooms.

Beautiful villa on the outskirts of Chania. Had everything we needed. The owner even stocked some groceries essentials for us which was a very nice touch. And he was there for any questions we had. Would definitely stay there again. Beautiful views

Lovely property with gorgeous views. The cats are great companions. The outdoor jacuzzi is not a hot tub. There are several areas that have one or more steps so be careful. Loved the quiet calm neighborhood and the outdoor spaces.

We are a family of 6 including 2 small boys and we had a wonderful stay in Villa Malaxa. The whole property offers so much space and areas to use, we really felt spoilt for choice. The roof terrace and pool area were particular favourites for us. The pool is a good size and not too deep. The indoor areas were equally as spacious, as well as being well-equipped and cool. Stefanos really could not have been more helpful throughout our stay, offering wonderful advice on the area etc. The only thing to be aware of if you’re planning on booking, the house is at the top of a big hill with a steep, twisty road so you definitely need a car and not be a nervous driver!! We would highly recommend visiting, regardless.

Amazing experience, host was first class and had welcome package of food and drinks, property has stunning views from up high in the mountain over chania. Easy to get to and access to the mountain must see spots on your doorstep. Internet access was always good. The pool was amazing size and outdoor areas were well maintained. Value for money

This is such a charming villa! The view is incredible, Stefanos was there to greet us and show us around, and had some necessities stocked for us, too. The whole process was very easy. Would definitely stay here again!

Yes, host was very accommodating. Met us there and gave us the rundown. I wouldn't change my rating for it but best to know that it is a long drive on winding mountain roads to get there. Once there though the place is quite unique and roomy. Definitely feel you are on a mountainous hillside in Crete - cats, goats donkeys and all!

Beautiful and spacious property. Could use aome updates and a little better upkeep. Beware of the many many cats everywhere but overall would book again. The owner very nice.

Villa Experience

We had an amazing stay at Malaxa Villa. It is well furnished & has amazing terraces. The owner was easy to communicate with & meet us at check in to ensure if we needed anything we could contact him. The pool and spa were a little cool for our preference, but it is the latter part of October and to be expected. It is a bit of a drive from Chania, but the solitude and views were more than worth the time.

No heating option available for common areas since controls not provided bedrooms did have heating and cooling equipment Outside pool and hot tub not available due to weather and they are not heated other then by the sunThere is a washer but no dryer as advertised Beautiful sea and mountains views Location is a challenging drive and not close to stores or restaurants Host were present when we arrived and tried to do their best to make our stay enjoyable but weather presented a challenge with the outdoor areas so they were unavailable to use

The view at this place is amazing! We loved all the space and outdoor sitting areas it had, as well as the many cats, puppies, goats, and horses around!Since it is older, the house reflects that in some ways. The outlets in the upstairs bedroom don’t work, as well as quite a few other outlets in the house. We also had no running water for a day. Lastly, the address listed on VRBO is not accurate! It’s 10-15 minutes further into the mountain (it is accurate if you put “Villa Malaxa” into maps). Overall worth it for the stunning views and great price.

Jolie maison bien placée pour rayonner autour de Chania.La maison est bien equipée et la piscine est très agreable en aout. La climatisation dans les chambres est efficace.A notre arrivée, nous avions plusieurs aliments disponibles dans le frigo et les placards, ce qui nous a permis de prendre notre temps pour faire les courses.La maison pourrait necessiter un rafraichissement et il n'est pas toujours facile de se retrouver parmis les interrupteurs des lumières mais globalement nous avons passé un très bon sejour.
