Beautiful view!

Our favorite part of staying at Il Casale was the amazing ocean view from our patio and apartment. We loved everything about our stay and the staff was excellent in responding to any problems. The one disappointment was the intermittent WIFI and lack of cell service because of the location. Overall, we would stay here again.

prima appartement op mooie locatie

Bij dit appartement draait het om de locatie en het uitzicht. Het ligt prachtig. Woning zelf is eenvoudig ingericht. Maar alles is aanwezig en als er iets ontbreekt dan wordt het snel aangevuld. Wij hadden de pech dat het weer belabberd was, en dat maakt de toegangsweg nog moeilijker begaanbaar dan hij gewoonlijk al is. Onverhard met grote stenen. Het ligt paar kilometer buiten San Vito, dus heb je wel een auto nodig.

stunning setting

The apartment was just as described int he reviews. It was clean, neatly furnished, and everything worked well. We were on a top apartment with someone else staying below for part of our stay, but we couldn't hear anything at all. Out daughter slept on the sleeper sofa and our son in one of the bedrooms, and everyone was very comfortable. What is really amazing is the setting and the views. I never expected it to be this beautiful, this natural and rugged. The landscaping around the hope is lovely, and the nearby nature reserve and San Vito Lo Capo beaches take your breath away. We stayed in VERY low season (first week of March), so everything was empty. In early March, there are few things open in town - it's sleepy, which was fine with us as we were hiking and visiting monuments mostly. We would absolutely stay there again.

Tolle und ruhige Finca mit Meerblick

Schöne, ruhig gelegene Finca mit atemberaubendem Blick aufs Meer. Mit allen nötigen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Großzügige und Schatten spendende Terrasse zum Frühstücken und gemütlichen Zusammensitzen am Abend.

100% uitstekend!

Ik kan niet klagen over iets! Het is 100 % top klasse! Het uitzicht is ongelooflijk. Onze kamer was geweldig! Vonden alles en het voelde een beetje als huilende toen we vertrokken. Ik hoop someday we kunnen bezoeken de Casale weer!

We hebben ongelooflijk genoten van ons verblijf in dit mooie Casale! Fantastisch uitzicht, super vriendelijke mensen en zeer goede service! We hadden een zeer ruime mooie trendy kamer, ook de badkamer was prachtig. Erg mooie locatie. Mooie omgeving. Goede Airco.

Beautiful and toddler friendly

From start to finish our holiday at casale was amazing. The villa is absolutely stunning with a picture perfect view, it was also stocked up with items to help get us started on our first day (bread, butter, cheese, ham, fruit, milk, water, beer and wine, what more could you ask for). We absolutely fell in love with the place and the terrace is perfect for lounging around in the sun topping up that tan. Sunrise was magical. We will be going back.

Prachtige lokatie!

Erg gezellige, goed ingerichte en schone woning. Eigenaresse zorgt ook voor eerste levensbehoeften in de koelkast. Prachtig uitzich! Alle bezienswaardigheden zijn goed te bereiken. De Casale is een aanrader.

A wonderful place to escape!

We could hardly believe our eyes when we arrived at the property, a sensational view over the ocean! It was amazing! A great base for exploring west sicily or enjoy a wonderful terrace over the sea. The only noise came from birds and the occasional helicopter. A place to rest and relax, little touches.. The gorgeous house was decorated beautifully with crisp white sheets and fluffy white towels, changed part-way through our stay. We were also supplied with beach towels and the bins were emptied every day. The house had ample room for our family of 5. The wi-fi was fast. Domenico and Mrs Carmen were super helpful, organising transfers for us and we can't thank the boys enough for carrying all our heavy bags in the hot sun! With a car, everything was very close and conveniently located. Would highly, highly recommend a stay here, and we are hoping to come back here one day!

Million dollar view

We booked Casale for my daughter’s wedding in Erice. We wanted a central base to co-ordinate logistics for our extended family who were arriving separately and staying all over Sicily. We could not have chosen better. The perfect place to come back to and relax, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and instead of what could have been a stressful time, we had a wonderful holiday around the excitement of the wedding. My daughter and her bridesmaids got dressed and left for the wedding from the House and could not have had a more romantic choice. The House itself is perfectly laid out and equipped with a cosy and private courtyard and a sun terrace with amazing views. The House itself a perfect retreat from the heat of the day. Domenico could not have been more helpful answering all our questions, offering to arrange car hire and making suggestions. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to see a large bowl of local fruit and provisions including some local wine! There was a folder in the villa with all the information we needed including directions to the local supermarkets, recommended restaurants and activities. This was our first time in San Vito and we sincerely hope not the last. We would absolutely recommend this House and the location.

Sensational

The Casale is exactly what you would imagine. The view is fantastic! Great place and would highly recommend it. My only complaint would be to have the trash emptied more often and towels replaced. We were there for three days.

Nydelig utsikt. Dårlig rengjøring, mye maur ved ankomst og lite utstyr i leiligheten.

Ved ankomst var det masse maur i leiligheten, i tillegg fantes det ikke sengetøy og håndklær til seks personer enda vi var registrert med seks antall personer. Kjøkkenet var meget mangelfullt, blant annet var det kun 3 glass og 5 skåler. Det manglet også kniver, visp, brødrister og saks. Den ene utestolen var ødelagt og det manglet også en utestol. Lighteren til gasskomfyren var tom og flere innendørs lamper var ødelagte eller manglet lyspærer. Vi informerte om dette, men det ble ikke gjort noe med saken. Utelyset var ute av drift og to dager etter ankomst kom det opp nytt lys. Vi ble lovet rengjøring etter 1 uke, men det var ingen vaskepersonell som dukket opp. På hjemmesiden reklameres det med at personalet snakker engelsk, men ingen vi var i kontakt med kunne mer enn to ord engelsk. Wifi var veldig dårlig. Informasjonen om søppeltømming, utsjekk og wifi koder var også mangelfull. Utsikten var det eneste som levde opp til forventningene, med nydelig soloppgang.

Buiten schitterend, binnen matig

Appartement is schitterend gelegen aan kleine weg met prachtig uitzicht op zee; dichtbij (8 km) bijzonder mooi natuurreservaat (Lo Zingaro) en heeft een prettig, ruim terras naast het huis. Wij hadden geen vouchers ontvangen, maar hadden dat waarschijnlijk zelf moeten downloaden door in te loggen op de site. Daardoor hadden we alleen een betaalbewijs en een e-mailadres, geen tel.nr. We konden op de dag van aankomst alleen per mail onze aankomsttijd doorgeven, maar kregen daar de hele dag geen reactie op, zodat we voor een gesloten hek arriveerden. De buurman hielp ons aan een tel.nr. van een bureautje in het nabij gelegen dorp, zodat na 20 min. iemand ons kon komen helpen. Van binnen is het appartement wat onhandig ingericht. De sofa staat meteen naast de voordeur tegenover een muur. De oven van het fornuis doet het niet; daarvoor is een elektrische oven geplaatst op het aanrecht wat veel werkruimte wegneemt en waardoor het snoer van de waterkoker langs de gaspitten moet worden geleid, omdat het enige stopcontact achter die oven zit. Als de voordeur dichtvalt kun je er zonder sleutel niet meer in (geen draaiende deurklink o.i.d.). Er wordt maar 1 sleutel verstrekt (wij waren met 4 mensen). De router van de wifi in ons app. bleek voor alle vier de appartementen bedoeld; als je dat stopcontact gebruikt, omdat er verder zo weinig stopcontacten zijn, zit dus iedereen zonder wifi. Het is er erg gehorig. De douche kon alleen met de hand bediend en de grote douchekop deed het niet, het douchegordijn was niet erg fris. Als je met vier achter elkaar wilt douchen moet je het kort houden of de laatste heeft geen warm water meer (kleine boiler). De bedden waren wel goed, het beddengoed en handdoeken schoon. Door de ligging en het terras toch een aanrader als je vooral buiten kunt verblijven.

Amazing

Picture Postcard view, quiet and serene. This villa is EXACTLY as pictured. If your looking for a place with amazing views and want privacy while traveling with friends and/or family this is a perfect spot. The location is, in a word, spectacular. Fantastic sunrise, near town but away enough that you don't hear and see the chaos. We had a rental car so it was easy to get all around the area, and the manager Domenico was fantastic providing directions and suggestions of places to visit. He stayed away but around enough to answer questions and provide abundant support for our needs but also gave us plenty of space. The house was exactly as pictured and were just what we were looking for. Everything was clean and tastefully decorated. Best value for the money - hands down.

What a great place to stay

This place was absolutely amazing. We chose this place due its location, and we were hoping that there would be minimal steps and pathways, and it was spot on. Location is just pristine!!! The apartment is well equipped with everything that you need. As soon as we got to the room, we saw the breath taking views, and how lovely the villa was and we knew we had made a great decision. Being on the top of the hill, you have fantastic views overlooking the bay. The house itself was very large and just perfect in side. I can not recommend this place enough to anyone travelling, we had a fantastic time and will definitely stay here again if we visit San Vito in the future. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want to spoil yourself a little whilst vacating in San Vito. Thank you Domenico (the owner) and Carmen (housekeeping) for making our stay a memorable one.

None with a view like this!

Casale is a rare treasure waiting to be discovered. I have stayed at many places as I come in Sicily yearly. This is by far the best I have ever stayed in. The villa is superbly renovated to a high standard, location... Well,That speaks for itself. I can tell you....None with a view like this! I highly recommend this villa. 6 stars.

Breathtaking experience

Sicily... an island where time doesn't exist... It's like you are on some other planet where colours are more intensive and everything is more beautiful than at any other place in the world.. From the first moment when I arrived I was amaized by great hospitality . Domenico is the best host ever.. He was there to meet any of my wishes, organize cruises, book the restaurants. As for villa itself, it is just as it is described ... A unique style of house with stone cladding, it's something I have never seen before..and it was fantastic!! Villa is situated on the top of the hill so the view is simply breathtaking... I have spent hours and hours there, relaxing on the balcony, while watching the famous sunset and sunrise . There are no words to describe them... I would highly recomend this Villa and looking forward to going there again!!

The best place in Sicily

We really enjoyed staying there, we felt in a magical place. Amazing Place, with great view and easy to find .The rooms are clean spacious and very nice decorated. We had a very warm welcome from the owner and he was always happy help any time during our stay in Villa. The Location is Close to all must see attractions. The only think we didn't like is that we had to leave... We will come again soon.

Fabulous house with great views

We only stayed at Casale for 7 days and by the end we wished we could have stayed longer. The apartment is decorated beautifully in a very homely manner whilst still maintaining that holiday feel. As many others have described the view from the terrace was stunning and a fantastic way to start and end the day by. Located in front of Cala Firriato, the house is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding beaches, of which our favourite was Bue Marino, as well as visiting some of the nearby towns: Palermo, Trapani, Marsala, segesta, Selinunte, Mazara and Erice. A special mention has to go to Domenico who was the most accommodating and attentive host and provided us with everything we needed for our short stay making it that much more special! Highly recommend!

Ideal romantic getaway

Just back from a lovely, relaxing stay in Sicily. The Casale was great, one of the highest house we've stayed in, well furnished, with everything you could need. The terrace was great and the views stunning. This was the first holiday where we booked through homeaway and had to pay the owner directly through bank. This did cause us worries about how legitimate the listing was. But Domenico answered every email promptly (with 2 hours) and we found the booking and payment of the apartment to be a very smooth and easy transaction. The apartment was everything that was promised from the description and pictures. The view from the terrace across the sea and bays was breathtaking and worth staying in this apartment alone. The property was clean, fresh and well appointed. There was a large fridge freezer and sufficient plates, seats, glasses etc for six people, even though only myself and my fiancée stayed here. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had a very good level of pressure and was hot if required. We did not watch TV so cannot comment on whether there were english channels or not, but the TV looked new and was a good size. The terrace area was very spacious and had a wooden table and 6 wooden chairs, and there was a couple of easy chairs on the balcony to lounge in after a hard day at the beach. The WiFi connection was excellent, and we connected all our devices. You really need a car to get the best of your stay. We fell in love with this Casale and this corner of Sicily. I would like to hope that it is on our radar for future holidays.

luogo che porterò sempre nel cuore

Il Casale è molto ben curato e silenzioso. Posizione incantevole, situato nel mezzo di una giardino di olivi e palme nane. Zona fantastica dal punto di vista paesaggistico e naturalistico. La vista sul mare è davvero pazzesca e fare colazione la mattina guardando questo spettacolo della natura non ha prezzo.. E' un luogo dall'atmosfera davvero unica. La casa è abbastanza comoda ed arredata con eleganza, decisamente oltre la media nei minimi particolari, bella ed allo stesso tempo efficiente. La cucina ha tutti gli elettrodomestici incluso un forno funzionale e una lavatrice ottima. Per altro non manca nulla; sia per la biancheria che per gli accessori. Pulizia impeccabile. Ma oltre tutto questo, che volendo (basta pagare) si può trovare anche da altre parti, quello che mi ha stupito è l'ospitalità e la disponibilità di Domenico, sempre presente per un consiglio su un ristorante o su una spiaggia da visitare, una bravissima persona. Ogni aspetto del soggiorno è stato positivo, quindi non posso non dare il massimo al Casale, un luogo che porterò sempre nel cuore.
