The perfect location to explore the South Coast whether heading east to The Historic Dockyards of Portsmouth, west to The New Forest or north towards the South Downs and Winchester. Squirrels Drey has its own small private garden and complimentary use of Abshot Country Clubs facilities.

Nice Place

This was the perfect place for our family. We were here visiting family in Southampton, so it was close and convenient and very quiet. I would highly recommend this place for anyone.

Lovely setting

Beautiful cottage. Squirrels Drey has its own garden and is lovely in the sunshine. Very modern layout and features, set in a very pretty area. Really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic holiday

Brilliant location, cottage was amazing with everything and more you could need. Spotlessly clean. The facilities made a great addition being able to use the pool, steam room and sauna was great. They also had tennis, badminton, hair salon and other activities but we didn't use these. The people were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning xx

Wonderful country getaway

This is a property not to miss! You’ve got the country, seaside a short distance, new forest not to far as well. The on site pool and gym was a handy touch too. Accomodation was wonderful, neds comfortable, just a beautiful cottage. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay!

Lovely, spacious and clean property

We stayed her with our 2 children (ages 7 & 10), for the May/June half term. We rent a cottage/ self catering unit in the UK 2 to 3 times/ year, so have stayed in many properties all over the country. This is one of the most spacious properties we have stayed in, including many 3 bedroom properties. It was well placed for exploring the attractions in Portsmouth and Gosport and was a manageable drive to Marwell Zoo and the New Forest. Whilst staying at the property you are entitled to use the facilities at the country club, but we were so busy we didn’t get chance. The children enjoyed visiting Pickles the Shetland pony and Branston the goat each evening when we got in who live in the paddock opposite the property. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Well worth the stay

Place really lovley, as good if not better than pics, has everything you could need for a relaxing stay, all areas within easy drive local areas walkable! Some lovley walks for doggy. Highly recommend.

A relaxing break

Had a lovely 4 days at this property with our two dogs.All the pictures are exactly how it is. Very nice and friendly people at country club Couldn’t fault anything to be honest

Ruhe und Entspannung

Etwas Abseits gelegen ,man benötigt immer das Auto, liegt das Cottage herrlich ruhig. Zum Ausspannen und mal runter kommen perfekt geeignet. Als Ausgangspunkt um die fantastische Umgebung und Städte zu erkunden auch super geeignet. Um einen reinen Badeurlaub zu machen ,dafür ist es dann doch zu weit von den Stränden entfernt. Das Cottage selber ist genau wie auf den Bildern zu sehen , urgemütlich .Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt.

Fabulous!

We stayed at Squirrel Drey for a week with our 2 sons aged 13 and 10 and our Labrador. The cottage is beautiful, a real home from home and has everything you could possibly need. The photos on the website don’t do it justice! We made use of the pool each day and I also used the hair salon and the beauty salon. The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. It’s a lovely location, near enough to excellent shops, and we also went down to the beach, just a short drive away. I would certainly book to stay here again.

Beautiful cottage

We all had an amazing time the cottage is absolutely stunning our puppy 🐶 loved it too and a special treat was meeting the local pony and goat on site Branson & Pickles !! Will definitely be back for another visit soon

Luxury property with private garden finished to high standard

Great facilities in the property and access to tennis, sauna, steam room and pool which we used every day. Two very comfy sofas, an arm chair and a well equipped kitchen for cooking. I would definitely come back, the country club staff were really friendly as well. Highly recommend!

The visit to Bramble and Pickle

What a lovely location.Lovely walks, woodland and beaches nearby.The cottage is truly lovely, very well equipped with everything you need. Lovely and quiet which we love.We visited the towns nearby and the New Forest.Found good places to eat in the evenings.

Excellent place to stay.

Beautiful, well presented accommodation with everything you need. Great open plan space with spacious bedrooms and en-suite to main bedroom. Kitchen was well laid out with all the pots/pans/crockery/cutlery you would need. Milk and cookies left for us which was nice welcome. Easy to find and close to Whiteley shopping centre which has a large Tesco and good variety of restaurants as well as shops. Plenty of things to do in the local area. It was about half hour drive to Portsmouth for shopping at Gun Wharfe or viewing the ships at the waterfront. The New Forest is within easy reach and the Wildlife Park close by. Would highly recommend.

Amazing break away

My husband and me stayed at the squirrels drey cottage with our daughter. It was perfect place, so lovely inside as well as al lovely garden too and even Netflix’s! It was so cosy and welcoming, and so clean. I couldn’t recommend this cottage and area enough. Cookies and a drink were left for us, she also provides tennis rackets and tennis balls for the courts behind the cottage, there are books and games to play too. We had the best weekend. Thank you so much, every detail is catered for x

Perfect !!!

Squirrels Drey was perfect. Terrific facilities, spacious, comfortable, everything you could want. Fully equipped. Great Club House/gym/pool. Convenient location, shopping 5 mins away. Rebekah was so attentive, quick response to all inquiries. The cleaning lady was a charm to talk to and so personal. Was a perfect accommodation, a perfect location , for a perfect vacation. SIMPLY PERFECT... Thanks for a wonderful experience

Fantastic quiet getaway

Great little cottage. Very modern and equipped with everything you could ask. Used the swimming pool at the Country club everyone there was very helpful. We all loved the goat and pony they were super friendly and always came over for a stroke. Great little garden for the dog. We will be back, thank you.

AMAZING PLACE TO STAY

We needed a peaceful rest after the xmas madness and this didn't disappoint in any shape or form! It was clean, tidy and so very welcoming - we were given a bottle of soft drink, biscuits and doggie treats - my son and our dog were very happy and once we cracked open a bottle of red and threw logs on the wood burner we were all ecstatic. A wonderful place to stay - loved the two bathrooms and small garden space (for dog) Rebekah was always available if you had any problems (not that we did). It was hard to leave as we loved it so much and will most definitely return.

Outstanding

We enjoyed our stay at Squirrels Drey. The property was well equipped, spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. The private garden was fantastic for our dog. The added bonus of a pool, gym, tennis and cafe on site ensures that there is plenty to do. The surrounding area is also ideal with the Solent Way easily accessible and local pubs, shops and restaurants just a few minutes away. We particularly enjoyed The Nook restaurant! Highly recommended for a relaxing break.

Lovely warm cottag, perfect setting to relax

Cottage was excellent. Well stocked, spacious, huge wood burger which kept the whole cottage cosy and warm. Beautiful walks nearby at Warsash Common and on the coast along Solent Way. Could not have asked for more for our little pup

Lovely property in an interesting area.

The property is a lovely open plan space, immaculately clean, with most things you would need. We arrived early and had coffee in the club. The property was ready so we were given the keys early. There were some nice touches like cookies and juice to welcome us plus there was milk in the fridge and plenty of tea and coffee. It was an excellent base for visiting Southampton and Portsmouth ( we advise using the excellent park and ride for the latter. There are also interesting places for walks locally - Titchfield Nature Reserve and take the little pink ferry from Warsash to Hamble-le-Rice. All in all a superb holiday!
