This truly is a home that will make you stop and stare. Renovated in 2022, this 600-year-old, Grade II listed manor house has been lovingly and sympathetically refurbished, bringing the character and the house to life! This is where memories are made. This house oozes luxury and it would be a perfect spot to celebrate with friends and family, excellent as an all-rounder for adults and children alike.
Located in an extremely central location you will soon relish the fact that everything you could need for a holiday is at your fingertips. Step into the grand entrance hall, kick off your shoes and be instantly ‘wowed’ by what awaits you. From the huge fireplaces, the ornate coving and the stripped floorboards to the modern kitchen, fantastic outside living space, pizza oven and barbecue, to the hot tub and the Versace wallpapers – prepare to be inspired!
The large living/sitting room is comfortably furnished with three large sofas. In here you’ve also got a 65 " flatscreen TV that benefits from Sky channels including Sky Movies and Sky Sports. Large and ornate dining room with huge Edwardian open fireplace, plenty of seating.

Walkers and cyclists will find a huge array of opportunity in this picturesque area and after a busy day exploring, why not head to one of the many local pubs or restaurants (almost on your doorstep) or make the most of your stay and settle in for something to eat and a few drinks, the choice is yours!
Walden House is set in a stunning location and is just a few short miles away from the stunning English Heritage Audley End House, as well as the mainline train station to London, Cambridge and Stansted Airport. This area of north Essex is famous for its country setting and is often referred to as ‘Essex’s Best Kept Secret’. You’ll be able to benefit from the castle garden and grounds, long walks, nature reserves, swimming baths, cobbled streets, listed buildings and architecture as well as much more. Do you want to get out and explore? A 25-minute drive will see you travel to Bishops Stortford, Stansted Mountfitchet Castle or the glorious village green and duck pond at Finchingfield. A little further and you can be in Great Dunmow.
The city of Cambridge can be easily reached. Here you can enjoy a city of culture, numerous shops, restaurants and pubs, museums, Botanical Gardens and even a spot of punting on the River Cam. London is 45 miles away and again can be reached in just over an hour by train or car so if you fancy travelling further afield, taking in some of the capital’s highlights or a theatre trip then it is easily done! Fancy a day beside the seaside? Privet House is in a fantastic location so you can get to the Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex coastlines (and back) in a day. With lots of day out opportunities from your doorstep, make Cambridge House the base for your adventure. Enjoy the sights or simply relax, unwind and enjoy the luxury that is on offer.

Most pets are very welcome if their owner takes full responsibility to be sure that no hair, smell, or pet waste is left behind.
Unfortunately, we do not accept large or aggressive breeds of dogs, specifically but not limited to XL BULLY.
Please confirm before booking the number of pets you would like to bring and their breed.
Parking
We have a garage and there is a large car park across the road that is a 3 minute walk. There is a parking bay right outside the house for either parking or unloading with signed restrictions.
Note from owner: If you see the same property with the same pictures, multiple times, it's because we have various listings of the same property but are offering different configurations for different size groups. Basically, we lock or unlock the required or unrequired number of bedrooms. As soon as a guest books the dates they want for the configuration that suits them, the system synchronises the calenders of the other listings and makes them unavailable.
