The cottage is located at 814 meters altitude, in the old village center of Rieden am Forggensee overlooking the mountains. Nature begins right outside the door and can already be experienced through the window at breakfast. Not infrequently one sees birds of prey like the Milan, but also deer at dawn. Directly from the house you can go hiking or cycling. The idyllic Forggensee is a 10-minute walk away. . The beautiful city of Füssen can be reached quickly by bus or bicycle.
Rieden offers approx. 20 km of perfectly groomed trails for skating or classic cross-country skiing. In the immediate vicinity are the ski station Tegelberg, Alpspitz Nesselwang, Ski-center Pfronten.
All year round you can visit the Neuschwanstein Castle, the Hohenschwangau Castle and the Museum of the Bavarian Kings and when it rains, the Royal Crystal Spa at the spa park in Schwangau ensures relaxation.
