Villa Serena, private villa with pool between Umbria and Tuscany

In the rolling hills between Castiglione del Lago in Umbria and Chiusi in Tuscany, Villa Serena is surrounded by farmland, in total tranquillity. The nearest neighbour is the farmer who has worked the land here for generations. There are several wine canteens around. Grapes are grown on the domain of the villa and ripen into excellent wines in the private canteen.

At Villa Serena, you can completely relax after a day out in Umbria or Tuscany. The swimming pool, which offers cooling on hot summer days, is 5 meters by 12 meters.

The kitchen is extensive, featuring a dishwasher, a gas stove (with one electric plate), and a large refrigerator. In a separate room are the washing machine, dryer, and an extra refrigerator with a freezer. Near the kitchen are the spacious dining room and a sitting room with a fireplace. From here, you can go to the private patio with a palm tree to the south. Here you have a view of the garden with olive and fruit trees. From the living and dining room, you also have access to the covered north-facing terrace with a panoramic view over the green hills, Lake Trasimeno, and Castiglione del Lago.

On the first floor are 4 bedrooms, two of which have a private bathroom with a shower. The other two share a bathroom with a bath and a separate toilet. The bedrooms are connected via a spacious hall where a second sitting room has been created. Here is a fireplace and a smart TV. Three bedrooms have a double bed, and the fourth bedroom has two spacious single beds (1.20 meters wide).

The house is for 8 guests. In addition, there is a small apartment on the ground floor for 2 more guests. Here is a room with two single beds, a bathroom with a shower, and a small kitchen.

Around the house are several terraces with garden furniture. The swimming pool is next to the house. This part of the garden can be closed off with a gate. There is an extra shower and toilet near the pool. The pool is open from May to the end of September.

There is a barbecue that guests are welcome to use. There is parking for 5 cars.

Wi-Fi is available in the house. There is no air conditioning, but each bedroom has a fan. There are mosquito nets in front of the bedroom windows.

Next to the house is the wine canteen. Guests can taste and purchase Villa Serena's wines.

Distances from Villa Serena:
Castiglione del Lago in Umbria and Chiusi in Tuscany are both 15 minutes by car.

In Umbria:
Perugia 1 hour, Orvieto 1 hour, Città della Pieve 25 minutes, Passignano sul Trasimeno 40 minutes
Assisi 1 hour and 15 minutes

In Tuscany:
Cortona 40 minutes, Montepulciano 40 minutes, Arezzo 1 hour, Siena 1 hour 20 minutes

There are three small villages in the immediate vicinity, 3-4 km away. In Sanfatucchio, there is a small post office and a local trattoria. Along the main road at the bottom of the hill are a pharmacy, a bank, and a gas station. There is a bakery in Vaiano and a small grocery store in Villastrada.

Everywhere in these hills are farms, villas, and small hamlets. It is an ideal starting point for long walks or cycling tours (mountain bike).

- In case you need the use of heating, you pay before departure: €6 / m3.
- The standard price is for 8 guests. In case you are 10, the small extra apartment on the ground floor can be opened @ €30/guest/night.
