Check in was a disappointment. We were there at 4pm and had to wait over an hour to check in to our room. They said it was not ready yet. I asked for a late check out and was denied, even after I explained what happened at check in. I was hoping they would give us an extra hour since we were not allowed to check in on time, but the staff said they could not allow for a late check out. Other than that - the place is great.

5 Nights in 2 bedroom unit. Clean, quiet, excellent condition. Enjoyed the beautiful pool, spa and convenience of beach gear rentals and food trucks right on the property.

Amazing Vacation

This was our first time to any of the Hawaiian Islands and we are glad we picked Kauai. We rented a car and went on adventures every day and still had time to relax in the pool and hot tub at the end of each day. Our 2 bedroom unit was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed and we were glad for the use of the BBQs. All in all it was a wonderful experience.

Great location, walking distance to Queen's Baths.

Phenomenal family property. Just make sure when they send you to the concierge after checking in, that you are very clear to let them know that you are not interested in a timeshare and to please avoid calling you for the "8:00AM morning coffee". Especially if you have jetlag kids.

This property was as presented on VRBO website. Kids did not like the sand part of the pool and I would agree. We had 4 adults and 2 young children. Accommodations were adequate for our needs. Nice location.

Almost heavenly

Great property, facilities and staff. Unfortunately it is all overpowered by the chickens. While they are cute at first glance their non stop crowing throughout the night makes for a major nuisance. Ear plugs and shut doors only helped a little.

To the point, this was a time share.

This is a Wyndham timeshare. Had I read and looked closely it would been fairly obvious. No problem, any issues, bring them up to the resort. If you are looking to rent a place in a time share, there are multiple other options which may save you various fees and ultimately would save $$ and give you the same experience. Over-all a nice two bedroom unit at a property aimed at the middle ground for time share owners. Nice pools and all guests can use all of the facilities. Princeville is predominately timeshares with some single family homes near the cliffs.

Nice property but.....

I paid $291.98 In lodging tax fees. to VRBO. I received an email that shows additional taxes of $116.48. an upcharge I am going to dispute. You need to clearly identify your upcharges before the rexervation is made. That goes for the extra fee for air conditioner use. Shame on you.

Great space for family vacation!

Five adults, all busy lives-This place was the perfect place to unwind and spread out. I’d definitely say basic and that is all we needed. Clean, clean, clean!!!! Plenty of parking & quiet. The landscaping and grounds were beautiful. From the dolphin sculpture to the pool! The unit entrances were private from the other units. The back patio was perfect for coffee or a game of cards. Close to shopping, grocery store, restaurants and gas-but not on top of you. Only negative was that you had to drive to beaches. Short drives, but a drive none the less. Would we stay here again? Absolutely! Each person in our party was happy with the unit!

Comfy Stay on the North Shore

This was a comfortable, pleasant condominium with all the essentials for making a vacation stay enjoyable. The people at the clubhouse were especially helpful with suggesting and setting up activities that worked for us, even though we had an immense amount of rain during our February week! We never did figure out how to get the t.v. in the living room and one of the bedrooms to work (no signal), but we were not there to watch t.v., so this was not a major concern. The floors looked clean but seemed very sticky, thus the 4 stars rather than 5. We loved the pool and the hot tub on the grounds, and the jewelry-making class was especially fun on a rainy day. We also enjoyed the entertainment on the covered porch, where free mai-tais were offered to all audience members one evening. We would recommend the place for those looking to explore the north shore and having a home base from which to do so.

Nice and beautiful place to stay

We really enjoyed staying at this property. The property was beautiful. The pools were nice, the staff attentive, parking was easy, the location excellent. Then apartment was quite nice, well furnished, and comfortable. There only two things we weren't happy about, one minor, one major. The minor thing was that there were no printed instructions about how to use the TV/Stereo cable system. Eventually, we gave up, because we weren't there to watch TV. The major thing was the stockinhg of the kitchen. We have stayed in many apartments and homes in Hawaii over the years, and we have not had this happen. The kitchen basically came with a set of dishes, a few pots, a few pans, and some tools. That was it. One serving platter. We had to buy sugar, salt, pepper, plastic wrap, tin foil, and just about everything else that one might expect to find in a kitchen. No dish drainer. We eventually figured out that two rubber pads were supposed to be pot holders. No trivets to hold hot dishes. two small cutting boards. We were provided with a little bit of dish detergent, a couple of packets of dishwasher detergent, and a few coffee filters, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent; we were instructed to ask for more when we needed them. Not a big deal, but also, why not just provide an adequacy of it all? A big part of our stays in Hawaii has been enjoying eating "at home". Because of the lack of utensils and pots, cooking was difficult, as was serving food. The stove worked, but barely. "Broil" was not something the stove understood; pre-heating the oven took 40 minutes. The dishwasher would constantly turn itself off, until we eventually figured out it worked only on one setting. It wasn't a truly big deal, but it also detracted from our stay. Other than this, it was all good.

Peaceful and comfortable

Beautiful property / unit was clean and had everything we needed - comfortable beds Front desk responded to requests, and the gear rental on site was awesome. Surfboards, beach gear, snorkel supplies - everything. you’d need. Would stay again for sure.

Nice 2 bedroom condo

This was our second consecutive stay at the Wyndham Bali Hai in January. We were overall pleased with our stay, especially appreciated the open kitchen design, comfortable bedding, and fast replacement of towels and other needs by staff. Only negative was main pool was down for maintenance (received a small refund) and the water heater was unusually loud (we did not call for maintenance).

Wonderful time

Although the unit is showing signs of its age , it was immaculately clean and we had a wonderful time ! The unit has everything needed and the view from the back patio was great. We used the hot tub and pool. We cooked all of our meals . We rented bikes and explored the beautiful princeville area. We are people in our late 50 early 60 and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The people at the desk were great !
