Dear Sergio, we're glad you took time in writing a review so we can have to possibility to tell everybody what happened: upon arrival at the property you refused to pay all the expenses related to this reservation that should have been paid upon arrival, you exasperated and treated badly our check-in person in the middle of the night as you were trying to find a way not to pay the city taxes (compulsory by law in our Municipality) and he was never rude, we personally followed him on the phone as he informed us in real time what was happening until he left. Yet you refused to pay the tax, and lied for several days telling us that you left the money on the counter and never really doing it. It is only right that everyone knows that we were forced to report you to the municipal police for refusing to pay a mandatory government tax. You're using your review to get a revenge, lying about the features of the apartment (highly appreciated by our guests, as can be seen from the other reviews), but your poor behaviour has only one person to blame: yourself.

Dear Ariel, thanks for your time in reviewing our property. We would like to clarify that the company who manages the apartment and the one who checked you in is the same, it is our company, Stay In Rome Apartments. The property has antique furniture, not old; ants on the terrace are common, especially during spring time. We wish to remind you that the property booked is a tourist rental, therefore the difference with hotels should not be a surprise.

Dear Amber, thank you for your time in reviewing. You are right when you say that the apartment is beautiful, we would not say it is not kids friendly to be honest. Owners lived there with two small children and they perfectly fit, yes you are right when you say there are delicate items, the apartment is elegant with refined furniture but this doesn't mean it cannot host well behaved children :-)! As we said owners lived there until 6 months ago and they had anti thefts cameras installed, for their safet, which worked when the alarm system was on. Now that the apartment is a tourist apartment the alarm systen was deactivated therefore no cameras are working! As far as restaurants, the apartment is near many restaurants, it is a shame you did not orient yourself very well, we will make sure we explain where everything is upon check in. The apartment is near the main street VIA APPIA, full of restaurants, bars, shops. In the same street, there is a bakery, couple of bars, a big restaurants and if you walk towards Piazza Re Di Roma there are poke, chinese, japanese, italian restaurants. It is a shame you missed it all, after all you stayed just for 1 and half day. Thank you again for your time!

Dear Jody, thank you for taking time in writing a review. Unfortunately we had to replace the outdoor cushions because they have been damaged by previous guests, soon all the outdoor forniture will have new cushions. With that being said, all the chairs outdoor have cushions already, you could have use those as they were at your disposal. We suggest our guest to pay attention to their personal items as it is not easy to ship something outside the EU due the numerous customs documents we need to fill to ship something and all the controls that are required for such an operation. It's not an easy thing to do, and it's not even due: it's a courtesy of your host and you can't blame the lack of comunication as we always responded to all your questions.
