Summary:
Sif Apartments is a modern complex of minimalist designed apartments in Central Reykjavik. Please note this is a multi-listing property.

A perfect location to explore the local sightseeing, and a stone's throw away from the best restaurants and bars of Reykjavik.

After soaking in one of the Reykjavik hot tubs, cook up a lovely meal at a fully equipped kitchen and enjoy a drink on the balconies, while experiencing the endless summer days or the Northern lights in the winter.

The Space:
This spacious apartment can accommodate six people. It has 2 bedrooms with a king size bed and two single beds and a sofa (double) bed in the living room. The main bedroom has an attached bathroom (en suite).
The bright apartment is on the corner of the building, and has more windows than most of the apartments in this building.

The apartment comes with a fully-equipped kitchen that offers everything from a full-size stove and oven, dishwasher and microwave to cookware, tableware, and utensils.

The bathroom has a walking shower and a hairdryer. A washer and dryer are available for your personal use.

Cots, cribs, high seats and other children/baby furniture are available upon request.

Guest Access:
Check in at your own convenience with our simple self-check-in process. Check-in details will be sent via email before arrival, and support is available 24/7 if needed.

Guests have access to the whole apartment. Everything within the apartment is private and for you to use at your convenience.

The Neighborhood:
The apartment is at the heart of Reykjavík, in a quiet area but central for many activities, museums, and restaurants to explore.

Enjoy a walk in the seaside of Reykjavik and visit the Sun Voyager and Harpa, one of Reykjavik's greatest landmarks. It is a cultural and social center in the heart of the city.

Start your day at Hlemmur Mathöll food hall for an early brunch before you are ready to visit local museums, like the Settlement Exhibition or the National Museum of Iceland.

As you are walking down Laugavegur, you will get the change to buy local souvenirs and visit boutiques with high-end products, most of which are Icelandic designed and produced.

Getting Around:
There is a pickup/drop off location for tours and airport transfers nearby called "Bus Stop 12 - Höfðatorg".

The apartment at the heart of Reykjavík, so most museums and activities are in a walking distance.

If you like to visit Perlan (panoramic view to Reykjavik), you can take the Hop On-Hop Off at "Hofdi House" or use the nearby central bus station Hlemmur. Both stops are within walking distance.

There is an underground (paid) parking garage under Sif Apartments. There is also paid street parking outside, which is free between 9pm-9am.

Other Things to Note:
There is street parking in the area, free of charge after 21:00 till 9:00 in the morning, and a parking garage (paid) under the building. It cost 24 hours but the price is very affordable after 21:00. No reservation needed. Most of the area surrounding Sif Apartments is P2 Pay Zone.

We recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip to Iceland, which covers issues as delayed baggage, travel accidents, weather trip cancellations and emergency overseas medical. EU members can use their European Health Insurance Card in Iceland (medical expenses).

We have cameras monitoring the common areas of the building and front doors, for your safety

Family vacation

Great apartment, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a lot of windows. They had full window blinds on all windows, which was important as we were there at the beginning of June. Perfect for our family of 4, with one kid happy to sleep on the comfy pull out couch. Super close to a great food hall. We walked everywhere in town, as location was great. The hosts were prompt to respond to any questions. Would stay there again.

A cute but Very minimal yet spacious apartment with an interesting (Escape the room feel) entrance/exit. Simple decor and floor heat in every room was fun. The washer & dryer was a godsend as it rained the whole time so we had a lot of damp clothes.The beds were comfortable but the pillows felt like they were made of straw. Ikea type furniture. The shower didn't exceed 92º and the back of the door in the main bedroom is peeling apparently from water splashing on it. That door will not stay open and the closet light is on a movement timer so it turns on whenever you walk in or whenever it wants to, which is unfortunate at night time.The kitchen has a nice refrigerator & cook-top. There's a microwave in the cupboard, a little Nespresso coffee maker (several pods are provided along with tea bags) and a hot water pot but that's it for appliances. No toaster or coffee maker Americans!If you get room 7-07 in door 11 as we did, keep in mind that there's a daycare below as well as construction going on 10.1.2025 in the courtyard. Lots of noise in the morning. I'll attach photos of the views. No water view. Nicely located in walking distance from downtown. Underground parking.The little triangle outside space is cute but it was too chilly to stay in for too long. We learned that Icelanders get all their heat for no charge so they have little vent windows in order to regulate the inside temps.Keep in mind the cost is in Euros Not USD. It was a difference of 500 more USD.
Cement saws putting in new outdoor flooring was loud.
There's a playground beyond this pic where the daycare plays.
Our friends stayed across in that building which was fun.
water damage to the main bathroom as the shower can splash on it.
