House is exactly as described. About fifty yards from the lighthouse. We loved the gas fireplace after sundown to stay warm and toasty. All appliances and coffee maker work fine. Five minute drive into shopping and restaurants in Scituate. This was our third overnight trip into Scituate. Highly recommend this house.

I just loved everything about this home! It was so relaxing to just sit & enjoy the view. So cozy & the beds were very comfortable. Larry was so friendly. The absolute best part of our stay was walking outside to the lighthouse to capture the beautiful sunrise. I definitely plan on staying here again.

The house was clean and had everything we needed. The location was great as it was easy to get to the ferry, train station and easy to find. The owners were very helpful and we were thrilled we were able to add another night to our stay. We didn’t want to leave. Definitely, a place we want to visit again.

Amazing property and wonderful stay

This may have been my favorite VRBO! The location is absolutely stunning! The location was close to town as well as the beaches! Larry is a perfect host. The house was very well supplied and Larry even brought extra supplies over mid week to be sure we had enough. We grilled and cooked at the house and it had everything we needed. You don’t want to miss this house!!!!

Scituate Lighthouse

This was a charming cottage. Very clean and views that were so lovely. Larry, the property manager, was right next door and a such a nice man to chat with. The only reason I gave a 4 star review was that the washer/dryer were not hooked up yet and sheets to be washed were on the floor of the laundry. The refrigerator ice/water maker were also in stage of repair, but we were left plenty of bottled water & ice. I am sure, when we return and all repairs & updates (including new slider doors) are completed this will be a 5-star review all around! Thank you Melanie & Larry for sharing your family cottage!

Christmas on the Sea

We had a lovely time at this quaint cottage situated on the ocean right next to Scituate Harbor’s Lighthouse. It was a very relaxing way to spend Christmas away from home and the cottage was well equipped with cooking utensils and such.The property manager lives next door and checked in with us our first night to introduce themself and let us know that we could reach out to him if we needed anything. Very thoughtful and pleasant. The parking area will only accommodate two spots but the lighthouse parking is right next to the cottage. Although signs were posted that parking was prohibited after 9pm in the lighthouse parking lot, there plenty of cars that came and went after 9pm, so perfect spot if you have a guest stopping by the house during your stay.

Great place

We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect spot for us. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed being outside on the porch or playing corn hole. Great spot and great stay!

Perfect Scituate Beach House

A lovely beach cottage right next to the water and the lighthouse with kayaks, paddle boards, cornhole and board games to keep you entertained. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. Can't recommend enough!

Perfect!

We use VRBO whenever we travel, so we've stayed in a variety of different rentals. This is one of the best we've had. The house is gorgeous. Very nicely decorated, updated and maintained. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. The air conditioning was more than adequate for hot summer weather. The living room is comfortable and has a large TV. The Wi-Fi in the house is strong, which allowed laptop connectivity for work, and Chromecast connectivity for video streaming (the TV has Roku, so streaming would not have been a problem even without our Chromecast). The biggest selling point of this house, though, is its location. It is the last house on the harbor side of Lighthouse Road before the Scituate Lighthouse. It is right on the water, and has a great little backyard to spend time in (and cornhole to play!) The first floor of the house is basically two walls of windows so you're looking at the lighthouse and the harbor all the time from inside. There are kayaks and paddle boards to take out on the water, if you have time. Larry lives right next door, and he introduced himself when we arrived. Other than that, he was immediately available by text message if we had questions but gave us our privacy. We've never vacationed on the Massachusetts coast before, and chose Scituate on somewhat short notice. We loved the town itself, and we also loved our day trip to Plymouth. If/when we vacation in this area again, I can't imagine staying and place other than here.

Perfect harbor location

We had a great week in Scituate. The home is located right on the water next to the Scituate Lighthouse. We had the best time. The paddle boards were such a bonus. The house is comfortable and full of everything you could need. Larry stopped by briefly to see if we needed anything which was so nice. The area itself is so fun. We saw three weddings from the porch. The porch might have been my favorite part of the house and those white rocking chairs! We loved sipping coffee on the porch each morning watching the parade of boats and sailing camp. We will definitely be back next summer! Thanks!

Gorgeous Views

Stayed here with my family for a local wedding. What an absolutely gorgeous waterfront location! We enjoyed kayaking right from the back yard in the harbor and the wrapping ocean views. The house was well stocked, clean, and beds were comfortable. Host was responsive and friendly. Will definitely be back!

Great place for a family!

Right on the water, had a great time paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, looking for crabs, and exploring. The house was very comfortable, and within walking distance of the downtown as well as several beaches. The owner was responsive and friendly. Would definitely go back!

Seaside Gem!

We stayed at the house over MDW and had a blast! The house is perfectly situated next to the lighthouse and has amazing views from the deck and bedroom. You can also take a walk into two which is under 2 miles or 5 minute drive. The owner was great. Very responsive and helpful. The house was exactly as pictured if not better. Would definitely stay again!

This is the most spectacular view the town has to offer, not a day goes by that someone going by doesn't stop to remind us!

This home is on the harbor side, facing Scituate harbor, with steps leading directly out to the water. Next door is Scituate Lighthouse, with two jettys and a beach. We're boat people so the property has plenty of water toys as well!
