Much needed rest

What a wonderful, relaxing stay we have had , we actually got lost the first night as there was so much space . The whole feel of the place is just amazing we will definitely be booking again if you will have us. The dog Spartacus was in his element with the garden and access to water. We didn’t want to leave thank you so much to the whole team involved.

Good location

A nice stay in Aviemore. Enjoyed the hot tub & excellent location. Surprised to see a for sale sign when arrived as had not been advised of this. Concerned we might have viewings while there, but none. Stayed here a few times now so disappointed with the level of cleanliness & starting to look tired in places.

We appreciate that seeing the For Sale sign may have come as a surprise however the property being marketed for sale has no impact on existing holiday bookings, which is why this isn’t something we would normally notify guests about in advance. Please be assured, if a viewing was ever to be requested during a guest’s stay, we would of course contact them beforehand and would never arrange access without prior communication. We’re sorry to hear you felt the cleanliness and condition of the property wasn't quite up to standard and appreciate you bringing this to our attention, we will make sure your comments are passed on to the relevant team. Excellent

This was an amazing place to stay the garden was the best bit and our golden retriever loved it. Inside was very comfortable and the Prosecco and shortbread were a very appreciated treat.

Excellent location near to Aviemore amenities. This was our 2nd visit and would recommend as a base to explore the area.

In terms of location it's just a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of Aviemore, has the Old Bridge Inn on it's doorstep and with direct access to river walks along the Spey River - it's ideal! Fabulous place - highly recommend

Perfect holiday property, everything you could possibly need, fabulous location near shops, restaurants, pubs and nature outside the garden gate. And of course the hot tub was really great too. Would highly recommend.

Luxury escape

Our 4th stay at this perfect property for 2. There is every thing you could need and more and it’s the perfect location for exploring the Cairngorms. This year we got to enjoy the beautiful garden in the sunshine too. We will return again next year!

Great New Year Stay

Beautiful garden with stunning views from living room. Many birds visit the bird feeders, house very warm with log burners and logs always available. We had a great time and will be back soon.

Fourth visit to River House Garden Rooms

Fantastic property and facilities in Aviemore. Close to the town centre and shops/restaurants yet very peaceful and beautiful views down to the river. Always a lovely welcome gift of Prosecco and shortcake biscuits on arrival. Property extremely well cleaned before arrival. Very comfortable accommodation with excellent cooking facilities plus washing machine and drying room. Gorgeous lounge with log burner overlooking the garden with woods and river beyond. Generous sized hot tub which is maintained over the week. Always an enjoyable place to stay and in a fantastic area of Scotland for walking, cycling, skiing and swimming.

Our third stay here and love it just as much as our first visit and will definitely return . Beautiful property , fully equipped and in a perfect location . Fantastic Stay!

We arrived early evening and the house was decorated beautifully for Christmas in every room. So much thought has gone into making our stay welcoming and warm. The lodge is fabulous and plenty of room for all your needs. Perfectly situated within walking distance to the town and bars/restaurants. You will not be disappointed if you book here, we enjoyed every minute. Imagine coming ‘home’ after a day hiking with the dogs, having dinner, lighting the wood burner and just relaxing- just fabulous

A great stay at River House Garden Rooms

We had a superb time at the River House Garden Rooms. The location was excellent and the lodge was fantastic. Sitting out in the hot tub in the mornings was very relaxing.

A wonderful relaxing holiday with the best location

We were lucky enough to arrive to snow falling and a lovely toasty house with some very nice gifts ( thank you GNL). We lit the fire and watched the snow fall and then after dinner had a lovely dip in the hot tub. The house is situated in a lovely quiet area with an amazing pub down the road but even better than that has a walk directly from the bottom of the garden to the River Spey and on the speyside way, with views of the Cairngorms. We loved it as did our dog Murphy, the enclosed garden was brilliant. So many beautiful places to walk nearby including Loch Garten, Loch Morlich and the stunning Loch Eilein (we went twice and walked different routes round the Loch each time. We had a couple of very minor issues and GNL responded quickly and dealt with them. Thank you for a lovely stay in a beautiful house, we will be back.

great location, great value

We had a great time at this location, loads of space for two people, great location. Only fault's were the cleanliness of the villa, needs a good day of dusting and a general tidy up of the villa, looking a bit tired in a lot of areas, otherwise was a fabulous place to stay, and great value for money would recommend this villa to anyone

We had a great and extremely comfortable stay at this house.

Loved this house. Loved the welcoming touches, sign, shortbread, logs. Great space when many houses of the same size seek to maximise number of visitors. Young gorgeous, great walks from garden gate, dressing room valuable if one of us got up early. Loved the hot tub. Enjoyed the garden and outdoor space.

A lovely holiday

We really enjoyed our week at River Garden cottage. It was so comfortable and warm and cozy. Everything we needed was provided and it was just a 2 minute walk into Aviemore which is a really nice town with everything you could need. It’s also a really good place to use as a base to visit all the other places.

Another fabulous stay in this beautiful cottage

Had another amazing week is this lovely cottage. So well equipped , cosy and the location is fabulous. The host was brilliant and left some lovely treats and loads of logs to keep us warm and toasty . The hot tub was brilliant . Will definitely return for a 3rd visit . Thank you
