Quietly nestled on the western shore of Lake Bohinj, away from the hustle and bustle of city life this is the perfect retreat for those seeking both relaxation and outside adventure. The property is ideally located minutes away from both the lake and ski lifts and enjoys an outside dining area, private garden, terrace, BBQ and the most incredible panoramic mountain views.

The property comfortably sleeps seven guests and is arranged over two floors. The cosy open-plan living space is fitted with wood-panelled feature walls and exposed beams. This area is furnished with a dining table, comfortable sofa, flat-screen HDTV and incorporates the kitchen. The kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, an oven, a microwave, a coffee machine, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer.

Location:

Located in the Triglav National Park, surrounded by breathtaking alpine scenery, Ukanc is an idyllic destination for both nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The crystal-clear waters of Lake Bohinj are a 10-minute walk away and suitable for water activities in all seasons. In the warmer months, you can enjoy a boat ride, swim, kayak or canoe, fish and snorkel or simply take a relaxing stroll along its shores. In winter, the lake sometimes offers ice-skating.

Hiking and outdoor activities are also popular, the Savica Waterfall (7-minute drive / 1-hour walk) can be reached by a scenic hike through the lush forest and the nearby peaks of Mount Vogel and Mount Triglav offer fantastic panoramic views of the Julian Alps. During the winter months, Ukanc becomes a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. The nearby Vogel Ski Resort (a 13-minute walk) offers excellent skiing and snowboarding opportunities.

Cultural experiences are also available in the village and its surroundings. You can explore the local traditions and sample traditional Slovenian cuisine in the quaint local restaurants or take a visit to the Church of St. John the Baptist. The church sits on a small island in the middle of the lake and can be reached by traditional wooden boats known as \"pletna”.
