Acerca de este alojamiento
Bellfoot Rural Retreat & Hot Tub
Bellfoot is found in the picturesque Lake District village of Grasmere overlooking its own private garden & Greenhead Gill. The bungalow is an easy stroll from the footpaths of Alcock Tarn & Fairfield Ridge for those looking to explore the stunning natural area. After a long day out in the hills, kick back and relax in the hot tub of this stylish property or visit the many local pubs & eateries within an easy stroll, including the Swan Hotel just 1 minutes walk away.
Bellfoot offers three bedrooms, the master bedroom features a king size bed with en-suite, the other rooms, a twin and a double are located slightly down the hallway with access to the shared family bathroom. The family bathroom features a bath with shower where the en-suite bathroom features a standing shower.
Bellfoot is perfect for a family getaway and features a cosy front room with log burner for socialising together and enjoying the comfortable environment. The conservatory-dining area allows for easy access to the garden where the patio can be found. Outside the table and chairs make the garden a great place to relax with the greenery of the garden offering a firm degree of privacy. The Greenhead Gill flows through one side of the garden, a delightful addition to the well-loved garden that offers the relaxing sound of tumbling waters. While there is a fire pit outside, we do not provide logs and kindling, however guests are welcome to bring their own!
The front door is a few steps from the driveway, the private drive itself is suitable for two or three car parking.
We will be available throughout you stay via email.
Grasmere is perhaps best known as the home of William Wordsworth, a place he once described as `The most loveliest spot that man hath found.` Set alongside Grasmere Lake, Grasmere is shrouded by a panorama of fells and mountains that provide the atmosphere so beloved of Wordsworth and the Romantic poets. Old cottages, faced with pebbledash, and houses of bluish-green local slate vie for attention along the twisty streets of the village. Victorian villas sit comfortably beside hotels, galleries and shops catering to tourists. The local church of St. Oswald`s, in the centre of Grasmere, has a history stretching from the 13thC, and is the final resting place of William Wordsworth. Wordsworth`s memory is heavy throughout Grasmere with his former home, Dove Cottage being one of the most popular attractions in Grasmere along with a museum dedicated to Wordsworth. Wordsworth`s later dwelling at nearby Rydal Mount can also be visited. Gingerbread lovers are strongly recommended to stop for a treat at the famous Grasmere Gingerbread shop near the church!
Bellfoot is a great location to travel to a number of local attractions and locations when out and about by car. The local bus routes run regularly from Grasmere village and are found a short stroll from the house should you wish to explore other well-known locations such as Keswick, Ambleside, Bowness and Windermere to name a few.
Wheelchair access is unfortunately not available, as there are steps at the front access points of the property.
