Number 2. Plumblands is a charming property situated in Chapel Stile in the Langdale Valley, recently renovated to a high standard. Stunning views from the house with a seating area in the garden looking over Lingmoor - perfect for a glass of something cold on the terrace at the end of the day!
The cottage sleeps 6 and has a wonderful open plan living room with log burner, dining area and kitchen with oak fittings and flooring. A ground floor double room and shower room opposite make a great addition to making all facilities accessible on a ground floor level. A second double room and family bathroom with bath and separate shower on the first floor, leading to a twin room on the second floor. All the bedrooms face the back of the cottage away from the roadside, with beautiful views in every season of the valley, Lingmoor and surrounding fells. Underfloor heating from a ground source heat pump provides a comfortable ambient temperature all year round. A patio area leads off from the living room, with french doors from the kitchen too, with outdoor furniture perfect for an alfresco meal. Steps down lead into a pretty terraced garden.
The heart of the village is just a short stroll away. In the village you can find the well stocked local convenience store; the Langdale Coop, Brambles Cafe, the Village Church – The Great Langdale Holy Trinity and The Wainwrights Inn, which sells locally brewed ales and provides good homemade food.
The famous climbers inn The Old Dungeon Ghyll, New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel and Stickle Barn Tavern are just up the Langdale Valley.
The popular village of Elterwater is also within walking distance where you will find The Britannia Inn, Lanty Slees and Slates Cafe, with dining available from a lovely menu at the Eltermere Inn Country Hotel.
