Look no further than The Old Forge Pump House, it is exactly what you need. Imagine waking up to the sound of the river outside your bedroom window in a tranquil and peaceful setting with your own private gardens to listen to and watch the wildlife. If you seek adventure you can visit our local castles full of history or for activities for the whole family, Pembrokeshire and the Gower are all a short hour's drive.

The space
The Old Forge Pump house is a beautiful holiday home, extensive, with character and original details in abundance. Set within approximately 1.48 acres of impressive grounds, this welcoming holiday home was gorgeously converted in 2006 and offers beautiful and well-proportioned accommodation from what once was The Old Forge Pump house. This delightful four-bedroom property provides all the qualities of a superb rural family fun home from home.

Even though you will feel wonderfully secluded here, this holiday home is also located perfectly to benefit from the small town of Kidwelly, which not only has one of the most spectacular castles in Wales but also a thriving community. The town has a Co-op, churches, a community hall, a post office and a small number of shops, cafes and pubs. There are also several interesting walks in and around Kidwelly. The larger towns of Carmarthen and Llanelli are both only 8 miles away, in opposite directions. Swansea City and the famous Welsh coastline are all on the doorstep and you will enjoy endless days out with friends and family creating new memories.

The spectacular magical grounds which wrap around the property are a wildlife haven thanks to the array of mature trees, plants & shrubs, spring gardens and the Gwendraeth Fach River which lines the property boundary. When arriving at this idyllic and peaceful home you get the sensation of removing a heavy overcoat and shedding the cares of the day.

Porch - You enter via a warm and welcoming porch with ample space to hang and store your outdoorsy clothing. From here you have access to the main living space through double doors.

Kitchen/Dining/Family Room You will be instantly astounded by this bright and airy spectacular space with two feature pillars. It is clear that this is the heart of the home and is certainly the perfect space for socialising! An abundance of natural light beams in through multiple windows and two double patio doors leading you out to the front of the home with exceptional views overlooking the river and garden. From here you have access to a useful utility/shower room, Games room and a grand stairway to the first floor.

Firstly, step up to the kitchen area where it has been expertly designed to utilise the space. It houses a range of units fitted with an array of integrated appliances including ovens, grill, coffee machine, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. This superb kitchen also has an island housing extra storage units with an integrated Hotpoint 4-ring induction hob, elevated extractor fan and slimline wine cooler.

Situated just off the kitchen area you have a generous dining table area with ample room for all the family to dine, perfect.

The family area is another generous space with a beautiful feature multi-fuel burner with stone wall and slate hearth creating a fantastic focal point in the room.

Utility - The essential utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer from here you have access to the rear and a useful ground-floor shower room.

Shower Room - A brilliant ground-floor shower room would be very useful after spending long hours exploring the local area and the grounds. Includes a large walk in shower and a toilet and sink basin.

Games/ Gym Room - From the kitchen/dining/family room you have full use of a substantial games/gym room which is a fantastic addition to this property, It consists of a pool table, Bar area with wine cooler, darts board and gym and if that's not enough it has it own karaoke area and some family-friendly board games.

First Floor - Journey back to the heart of the home and ascend the grand, oak stairway to the first floor.

Gallery Landing - You arrive at the spectacular 360-degree gallery landing where you will be in awe of the feature chandelier and original steel A-frame which have been beautifully restored. An abundance of natural light floods into the space through the multiple feature windows and the two windows to the front where you can gain access to the balcony situated to the front. Here you can really appreciate the impressive views and the prime location.

Bedroom One With En-Suite - Situated to the rear of the home you have a lovely size double bedroom. This space receives plenty of natural light thanks to the large window to the rear overlooking the wonderful garden. Offering charming original features including feature steel A frame and an attractive vaulted ceiling. Bedroom one also has the pleasure of a fitted wardrobe with hanging rail & shelving, and a private en-suite housing a wash basin, walk-in shower and a toilet.

Bedroom Two With En-Suite - Lovely size double bedroom with fantastic feature steel A-frame and vaulted ceiling. This space is wonderfully bright with a large window to the rear with views of the garden. Bedroom two enjoys a large fitted wardrobed with fitted hanging rails & shelving, and an en-suite furnished with a wash basin with storage underneath and a large walk-in shower.

Family Bathroom - This bathroom enjoys a wash basin with storage underneath, walk-in shower, fitted bath with hand-held shower head and toilet.

Bedroom Three - Bedroom three is situated to the front of the home with wonderful views overlooking the river. This lovely double bedroom offers two single beds and a charming vaulted ceiling with feature steel frames.

Bedroom Four - Another brilliant size double bedroom with a large window to the front offering beautiful outlooks. This space has double fitted wardrobes with fitted shelving for guests to use and wonderful vaulted ceilings with feature steel frames.

Lounge - Journey down a delightful hallway with feature windows and beams which will guide you to the spectacular lounge. What an exceptional space! Enormous in size with light flooding in through the triple aspect windows and two patio doors leading out to the balcony. This room creates a really warm and homely atmosphere thanks to the multi-fuel burner with slate hearth, vaulted ceiling, and spectacular feature steel A-frame. Here you can picture yourself gazing out on the impressive view for many hours. The Pull out bed is located in this lounge which sleeps 2 people comfortably, making the property suitable to sleep 8 guests!

Balcony - From the moment you step out onto the balcony you will be in awe with everything nature has to offer. This balcony is ideal for shutting away the rest of the world and becoming absorbed in the striking garden, running river, and nature in the area. Here you also have a large wood store and ample space creating a superb area for entertaining.

This entire home is fully equipped with underfloor heating.

There is free parking for three cars that guests can use. Can guests please park cars by the garages on the right hand side of the drive as another rental property will be using the left side parking for one car.

Guests have access to the entire property apart from one room just off the kitchen that is locked for owners storage.
