Thank you for your kind appreciation and for leaving the gîte very clean. (you will be welcome again whenever you want!) ps: concerning the duck: it seems to have deserted her nest, probably with her young, because there are only 5 eggs left on the nest :-) All the best, bonne continuation à vous 4! We spent 2 months in saint cyr-de-salerne at the gite. It is the most incredible place. We loved every minute. The gite is fully stocked house with everything you need in it, just go buy your groceries from the local markets or supermarket located nearby....Brionne hss everything you'll need and only a 8min drive. Bernay larger place with 3 supermarkets and is around 25min drive. There's so much to see in the area. The gite is quiet, warm, homely. The owners are absolutely beautiful. I can't say enough about how much we love this place.

Beautiful and peaceful stay

We had a wonderful week at Stella and Bob's property. The house was well equipped and set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Our children loved the table tennis, badminton net, football goal and swings & slide! Our hosts were very helpful and friendly and we hope to return in the future.

Perfect place for a family get-together

Lovely property, plenty of space indoors and out. Bbq and fire pit, family sized table and chairs for eight outside, plus smaller table for four. Ping-pong table, garden swing and slide, table football and two bikes, a huge box of lego and a pile of games helped keep children and adults happy whatever the weather. Everything you could need indoors was provided plus three boulangeries and an intermarche are just a 10 min drive away.

The best Gite in Normandy

A beautiful renovated 300 year old barn. We loved it. Lots to do and places to go. Peaceful and quiet but only 5 km from nearest town with great market twice a week and Carrefour. The hosts Rob and Stella were very kind and very friendly. Stella cooked for us twice, both pies delicious - apple pie and a Quiche Lorraine. Lots of games etc for the children including a wonderful tree house. Just loved it. The gite is so well equipped too. Merci Stella et Rob.

Beautiful well equipped gite

We had a wonderful stay at Bob and Stella’s gite. Stella made sure every convenience was available from a wonderful arrival gift of apple tart and wine to bringing firewood for a campfire. Stella had many items stocked for convenience such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, detergent and many cooking items. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast each morning before exploring the beautiful countryside in the afternoon. We drove to the D Day beaches at Normandy, Honfleur (my favorite) and Giverny (Monets house and garden). The house had plenty of room and privacy for two couples and would have been wonderful for kids as well. We will certainly return! Thank you Stella!

We have had a wonderful holiday in Stella and Rob's beautiful Gite. It's very spacious and well equipped. The garden space is very generous and we had plenty of opportunity for games and relaxing. The Gite is in a rural location but there are two nearby (15/20minutes) towns where you can find everything you need. From a standard supermarket to beautiful bakeries! We found ourselves driving mostly north to the coastal area which is between and hour and an hour and a half away but well worth it.Our young children loved feeding the sheep and our older ones made plenty of use of the table football and tabletennis.Unfortunately the tree house is currently out of commission after sustaining damage during a storm in July 2025. So if that's an element you're particularly interested in I recommend you contact the owners first. Thank you Stella and Rob for such a lovley base for us to have during our first holiday abroad with our 5 children. We have loved it! There's no wifi at the property so we bought some extra mobile data for our two week stay.

Beautiful house of great character, spacious and comfortable, well equipped and well insulated (a godsend in this hot summer!), the hosts are friendly and helpful. The treehouse is mind-blowing, the pictures don’t do it justice, kids will absolutely love it.It is very rural and a bit isolated though, however there is a lot to see and do within a few miles drive. There are also several marked walks in the woods, for when you don’t feel like driving. We had an amazing holiday and loved every minute of the time spent there.
