Nuestra casa está a poca distancia de cafés, restaurantes y cines. Estamos ubicados en el centro de Berkeley: a pie de la estación del centro de Berkeley BART en 15 minutos. Somos una familia de tres años de Berkeley: un cineasta, un artista y nuestro hijo de 17 años. Utilice nuestra sala de estar, comedor y lavandería. Disfrute de la terraza grande y soleada. Nuestra casa es buena para parejas, viajeros de negocios y familias (con niños). Estamos abiertos a estancias de más largo plazo durante el verano.

Great Stay - Centrally Located

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Berkeley and working with Charles was a breeze. The house provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay and it was centrally located for easy access to SF and points north. The neighborhood was quiet with many amenities just a short ride or walk away. Great stay...would highly recommend.

Beautiful Home

My husband and team were in SF for work and Charles' home was the perfect home base. The house was so comforting and had everything we needed for our week long stay. The neighborhood felt super safe as well. Highly recommend! The photos don't do this home justice. Thank you again!

Falsly advertised - ant infestation & safety issues

We were so excited to be arriving on Christmas day to enjoy some much needed family R&R in the bay area. We picked this property based on its pictures and location. While it was a lot more than we were hoping to pay, we trusted the pictures and description and went ahead and booked the property. I was disappointed as soon as we got there. I have a disability, and while I can go up/down stairs, I take it slowly, but the sidewalks were filled with leaves, sycamore pods and the front lawn had long grass and the 'walk way' to the stairs was uneven, the cement steps without any sort of railing and all the steps were not regulation, making coming unnerving. Once into the property, we found it very cold (and we're from Minnesota), the furnace only really warmed the middle hall and kitchen, we even closed off the living and sitting room off to get the warmth to go up to the 3rd floor level, to no avail. The bathrooms either had stairs to get down to them, or they had a old skool claw foot tub to take a shower, which is high and hard to get in and out of if you are less than able. The stairs were slippery and the banister hard to hold onto when wet and even a piece of wood was broken off of the banister as it had rotted. The back deck also was wood and felt insecure and looked rotted. While the 'house manual' mentioned to not leave any food out or eat in our rooms (all rules/advice we abided by), there was a bad ant infestation. When I contacted the owner, he said 'they occasionally got ants' and blamed it on the rain the night before. This was not occasional at all, and we saw ants all over the kitchen and bathroom the entire time we were there. Net/net, I think the place could be a fine property, but it needs a lot of upkeep, repairs and general TLC. The owners seemed nice enough, and there were some good basic things like a dishwasher, washer/dryer (we didn't use), and refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, tea kettle, all helpful and yet expected given its what we knew and chose based on the property description. The property didn't look anything like its photos and for this, its unfair to us. But beyond the lack of warmth, cleanliness, accessibility was the issue with the safety. The front really needs to be fixed, grass mowed, some basic yard maintenance and upkeep at a minimum. It was a disappointment and I don't think its fair to rent this property with the pictures posted, disrepair and ant issue.

Home away from home

This is the second time we've stayed at this great property ~ 5 women friends attending a long weekend event. The house gave each of us a place to retire to if we needed, and places to come together and share stories. Great kitchen, enjoyed the back porch, comfy beds, all we needed. Everyone said it felt like being in a much loved home. And host was great about communicating, not that we needed anything beyond what was already well taken care of. Thank you!

Charming vintage home

House was well equipped (kitchen, towels, etc.) for our large group, enough space for everyone to retreat when necessary, quiet neighborhood and the host was attentive and communicated very well with us. We enjoyed our stay here.

The essence of Berkeley

A charming and comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood near the Berkeley civic center. Beautiful tree-lined streets and families everywhere. Nice kitchen and plenty of space in the house.

Exactly as Described!

We had a delightful stay- the house is exactly as advertised. If you know what to expect, you should be absolutely satisfied. The beds are very comfortable, everything works as it should and we never experienced any of the hot water issues others have mentioned. You have a lovely home! If our travels bring us back to Berkeley, we will be in touch again! Thanks for a great trip!

Great Location

Charles was very attentive and made sure to message me on arrival and departure making sure we got in and out ok. We had 6 friends that stayed here while attending a wedding. We could walk most places which was great. Everything is very outdated but clean. Also, he does warn you in the house manual that the water heater is on the ground floor so it takes awhile to heat on the 2nd and top floors and he is serious. I took a couple just luke warm showers because I didn’t have time to wait for the hot water and the towels are old and kind of rough. Overall the house did what we rented it for. A central Berkeley location to lay our heads.

Close to the Bart, Beautiful neighborhood

We loved the house. It was easy to get to from downtown Berkeley. The Bart is a short 15-20 walk from the house. The neighborhood has a great vibe to it, with lots of beautiful vegetation. The owner made himself available each and everyday if needed. Charles checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was going as planned. He even had a few breakfast goodies, and milk and juice for us to use. The back deck was super relaxing, spacious and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again when we visit in the future.

Cute Berkeley Spot!

We enjoyed our stay here! It's a good family fit (a lot of doors make it easy to cordon off 'safe' zones, and it's near a great park). The house had everything we need for our stay and was exactly as described. The bedrooms are fairly interconnected, so it might be a better fit for a family or a group comfortable sharing space this way (e.g., to get from the main bedroom to the bathroom, you have to walk through one bedroom or another).

Clean, cozy, well equipped

We were a group of 4 women friends connecting for a long weekend in Berkeley. The property was perfect for our needs -- comfortable beds, cozy kitchen, very clean, 15" walk to downtown BK. Appreciated the welcome basket from the hosts with pastries & granola, and coffee, milk & juice in the frig! Although we didn't meet face-to-face (nor -- fortunately -- did we need to), our host was good about communicating all we needed to know to make the trip work out well. Big Ol' Beautiful House

This house is perfect for a large group or family. Lots of flexible sleeping arrangements, big kitchen, 2 baths, lots of chairs that could easily be rearranged in the front room for big conversations. It was simply a wonderful place for a family gathering where we could easily cook meals and enjoy company between adventures out in the city. Absolutely no complaints and we hope to return again someday.

Great location and size

The home was great for our stay. It slept 8 fairly comfortable. It is more like three bedrooms with the fourth being a twin bed in the hallway between two of the bedrooms. But it still worked well for our group. The common rooms (kitchen and living room) were wonderfully stocked. We ended up having dinner in the house both nights of our stay and it was perfect.

We enjoyed our stay with 3 couples. We could walk to grocery store (10 to 15 min.) BART was also 10 min.away walking. Neighborhood w a s pleasant and nicely quiet.

We had just what we needed for our family get-together in this comfortable house in the heart of residential Berkeley. The owners left everything in good shape for us and we thank them for making their home available to us. The only thing we missed was a microwave!

A Place to Crash

Overall the location was good and the place functioned well as a place to crash for the night. Some complaints, however, would include that the house smelled a bit of cat urine, the lockbox was unreliable, and it was a bit chilly (blankets were thin).
