Encantadora casa de campo junto al mar en la playa de Fairfield

Casa de campo recién reformada, a pasos de playa privada. Ya sea que disfrute de caminar, andar en bicicleta, nadar, pescar, andar en kayak o hacer la siesta en una hamaca a la sombra, este es el lugar para usted. Cerca de Metro North y la I-95, a solo una hora de Manhattan. Traiga recuerdos de veranos de la infancia: ponga sus pies en la arena y su mente a gusto, mientras disfruta de la tranquilidad de esta espectacular escapada de Long Island Sound en Fairfield. El espacio

Nuestra casa se encuentra a pocos pasos de una playa privada (directamente al otro lado de la calle). Todo ha sido renovado recientemente, pero tiene esa sensación de playa rústica. Hay un montón de espacio interior y exterior para una escapada familiar, con Wifi para conectarse al mundo y aún más oportunidades para desconectarse según sea necesario.
Es cierto que sería fácil esconderse aquí durante una semana o más, sin hacer mucho contacto con nadie más que con las gaviotas. Dicho esto, Fairfield también es rica en opciones gastronómicas y de entretenimiento.
Somos un paseo en bicicleta fácil a la ciudad, una caminata más larga y un viaje muy corto o viaje Uber. La cabaña está aproximadamente a media milla de la parada de tren Fairfield Metro North (que está a aproximadamente una hora de Manhattan), y es un salto, un salto y un salto desde la Interestatal 95 y Merritt Parkway.

Great location

Gerard was very responsive and helpful and the rental was lovely and in a great location. The beach access was great as were the beach accessories we could borrow! The house stayed nice and cool in during the hot days! Would stay again.

Such a cute beach house. It is was a perfect location for our family of four to stay at while visiting with other family in Fairfield/Southport/Westport and also allowing us to go into NYC for a day trip to the Statue of Liberty.

Perfect beach cottage!!

We absolutely loved our vacation at this property!!! The location is perfect, just steps from a private beach and right in town close to everything. The house was immaculate and very well stocked - no details were overlooked. Everything is new and updated and the decor is perfect for a beach house. There are hammocks "under" the house to lounge in and we had a blast kayaking in the ocean. Hope to be back next summer!

Charming Cottage

What a wonderful find, and only an hour away from NYC. Fairfield CT is beautiful, friendly people, great restaurants, dog friendly, beautiful private beach, the list goes on and on. Thank you to Gerard for being so helpful, kind and always there to answer any questions, and give great recommendations. If you ever need a break from the city, this is the place to go to. Thanks again for such a wonderful holiday! We will be back.

Great family getaway!

The cottage was perfect. All of the basics were supplied such as toilet paper, paper towels, pack and play, booster seat etc. Check in and check out were easy with very little for us to do. Gerard was extremely helpful. He is one of the most efficient and kind property managers that I have ever dealt with. He answered every question I had and provided information about the area.The beach area was clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable and the backyard space was great with the kids!

The house is beautiful, the location is wonderful. The beds are comfy. Everything is perfect. The only caution is the parking space is a little tight if you have a big vehicle. I drove a Ford Transit 12 passenger van which I was able to get off the street with some maneuvering. Any bigger than that would be difficult.

Great beach house in CT

This is a gorgeous property. The house is so nicely renovated and really lovely and comfortable. It has nice furniture and linens and a great kitchen. We were surprised by how much the kitchen had in a compact size. Plenty of space with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Helpful instructions were given on how to access the beach and we had no problems with that. It is very close and you can see a sliver of ocean from the couch and dining table. The only thing that surprised us was how small the parking area is. We had a single mid sized SUV to park and it took some maneuvering to get it where it wasn’t right by the road. I felt a little nervous being so parked to the road on a turn but I did notice that other properties had a similar situation and parked extremely close to the road. It seems like a small community and we didn’t get swiped so it worked out in the end. I would heartily recommend this property and hope we may be so lucky as to stay here again in the future. I would sum it up as- everything you need, beautiful, relaxing, and quaint yet luxurious.

Lovely stay in Fairfield

Gerard was very welcoming and extremely responsive without being intrusive. This is a great balancing act. It is a charming cottage that has been elevated so the living area is now at the height of a second story which is quite common for coastal houses. There are window unit air conditioners that worked great when the temperature reached the 90s. I was a bit self conscious at the beach. You must walk between 2 houses across the street to get to a private beach. It felt as though I was sitting in their back yard. However, no one else in my family felt this way. The beach was fantastic for little kids at low tide. They could walk forever without it being over their heads. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. The beds were very comfortable. Interacting with Alexa was interesting, since I don't own that kind of technology. My frustration was with parking. For most of our stay we had 3 cars. Parking is below the raised kitchen, in between posts and very tight. People in the front seats have a difficult time getting out. My car stuck out a bit into the street. I was with grandchildren, and we took advantage of an outdoor concert and a children's museum besides trips to the beach. Fairfield is a wonderful community. This is a very affordable cottage and a great deal for staying at the beach in Fairfield.

Excellent Stay

We live in the same town but needed to move out of our house for a few days due to a construction project at our house. Gerard was the best he went out of his way by texts to make sure everything was going well at the rental. He let us check in early so we could work the day we checked in which was great! The rental was very clean and cozy! It was great that we could bring our 2 dogs they enjoyed being close to the beach. I would rent this place again! Thank you Gerard!

Outstanding Stay!

The owner was fantastic from start to finish - always readily available and made our comfort his obvious priority. The property itself was as described; cute, neat, clean and just enough space. While the TV had just very basic cable channels, it was a smart TV with a firestick for streaming, which was fine. Would be great if there were small TVs in the bedrooms, but this is more of a suggestion and wasn't a big deal at all. The beach access thing is a little tricky, not so much the owner's issue, but the owner of the tall house across the street wasn't happy when we put our umbrella and chairs on the area that we thought and still believe was 'inside the high tide line' as described in the rules. While she congenially expressed her frustration with seeing parades of strangers basically sitting in her back yard, she also made no offer/effort to allow us to stay the 15 minutes more we said we were planning on staying. If she really "loved people" and "felt so bad telling us" as much as she said she did, then why not allow us the 15 minutes to watch the waves and pack up? Hmmm... Finally, my wife left her Kindle behind and the owner located it and handed it off to my daughter who goes to school in the area - great customer service! Would recommend if you're in the area and looking for a reasonably priced stay at a comfortable place with a helpful, friendly owner.

Weekend Stay

I am beyond impressed with the communication from Gerald. He was quick to let me know there was an AC issue prior to our check in, which he already had a resolution too, which was fixed before we arrived. The cottage itself is quaint, clean, and has everything you need. Beds were comfortable. Pillows were extremely soft, if you like that you are set, otherwise pack your own. The beach contained a good amount of shells, bring water shoes if you have sensitive feet. The shells cleared out upon getting further into the water. Parking was tight, I would not recommend a large SUV or van. Upon chatting with Gerald regarding the parking, he provided me an alternative for parking. I would 100% stay here again. The communication alone from Gerald had me sold. Thank you Gerald for being so readily available and honest. You can tell the host 100% takes his properties seriously and truly wants the guests to have a great experience.
