A perfect waterside getaway all year round. Cosy log fire. 2.5 flights up on the waters edge, gives commanding views out to sea, mountains and 200 degree panoramic views. You are 5 mins from a large market town and 20 min to Belfast city. Comfortable. Stylish. Vaulted ceilings, Large floor to ceiling windows, doors open out to large terrace south facing for sunset drinks or bbq and a small balcony area from master suite. Outdoor seating for chilling or dining. Wood burning stove in living area.
The space

Double doors lead from your large private terrace into a large living, dining, kitchen area. Vaulted ceilings, with comfortable seating, commanding views and a fully equipped brand new kitchen with breakfast bar facing out to the views. Large floor to ceiling windows allow for fantastic views from every corner. Smart tv, Wi-Fi, pod coffee machine and all mod cons.

Stepping down into the master suite, you have a king size bed, double doors opening out to a small water front terrace which connects to the main patio, and allowing stunning views from bed out to sea and mountains. Smart tv also in theThere is also a large corner window with comfortable lounge chair to allow full views out over the water for the south westerly sunsets and the bedroom also has a smart tv. Good Storage space and drawers for clothes if required. There is also an en-suite bathroom with shower, sink, vanity unit and toilet. Quality bathroom products.
Guest access
This property is located up 2.5 flights of stairs on a beautiful hillside over looking the water. There is a large private driveway for parking.

Lovely place

Really nice and relaxing place. Owners were lovely and friendly. Communication was 10/10 would recommend! Also thank you for the wine it was really lovely :)

Lough View Cabin

Fantastic view but a bit of a climb to get there. Everything was great but we missed not having a microwave which maybe due to our lack of cooking skills.

Spectacular

This is a very special cabin perched above the lough but with very easy assess to the Newtownards and the surrounding area. Very cosy with quality deco and furnishings it’s perfect for a couple. We visited when the eye of Storm Kathleen was overhead creating memorable moments, but limiting the planned walks. Lovely to have smart TVs, games and books as sadly just too windy for a BBQ on the terrace.

Nice view

Lots of noise from passing traffic especially during the day. Needs some storage for guests clothes as there was no hanging space or drawers. But the owner kindly lent us some coat hangers. The lodge is beautifully furnished with a fantastic view. The owner was helpful & quick to respond to any queries. We also appreciated the little touches such as hand soap, hand cream, & the lovely bottle of wine!

Disappointed

We did not expect to find left over food in the fridge. Many half used bottles of sauces and condiments left on work top. Oven not cleaned properly. Same in bathroom. Many half used shampoos and soaps. We could not control shower. Either too hot then straight to too cold without touching controls. May have been an age thing!! Nowhere to hang clothes. A couple of hanger rails on wall beneath shelves in bedroom area could be the answer. BBQ was filthy. Grill thickly covered in grease and looked as if it had never been cleaned in a long time. Overall the property just needed a lot of TLC and de-gunging. With this done, along with the lovely views of the Lough then the property would live up to its billing of "luxury living by the sea" The above points did not prevent us from enjoying our stay though but we won't be back.
