A “Welcome to Greece” text message will display on your phone when you reach this house, and your smart watch might even switch to the Greek time zone. On clear days, the Greek islands of Othoni and Corfu (as well as the Albanian mountains) will emerge from the blue sea in front of you. But you’re in Italy, on its most south-eastern tip, within one of Salento’s most spectacular coasts.

In a region of Italy well-known for its great food, its culture and its wild atmosphere, where the two seas meet and melt in a mixture of spectacular landscapes.And our stone house offers what you need for total relaxation. Located in the nature reserve “Parco Naturale Regionale Otranto-Santa Maria di Leuca”, on a fantastic hillside over the cliffs of the Adriatic, about 80 meters above sea level, with two panoramic terraces, it awaits you for your perfect break.

Forget the stress of everyday life: everything is very far away here. In the morning you will be among the first in Italy to see the sun rise from the sea on the southeast tip of Italy’s heel. And in the evening you can end the day with an aperitivo on the terrace, admiring the sea and later the stars.

The house has a simple but cozy maritime interior. It is made of two units, located next to each other, that keep the traditional architecture:

The first one has one double bedroom with air conditioning, a living room with kitchen (and an additional single bed), and a bathroom with shower.

The second one is an old, nicely renovated stone “pajara” (a typical trullo from Salento) with a double room, also with air conditioning. There is also a second, little bathroom with shower, which can be reached directly from the terrace (see floor plan in the photo gallery).

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer and gas stove. Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are available, as is a coffee machine (moka or French press).

The house consists of two parts that are on different levels and have separate entrances. Here you rent the lower part, which is marked with the letter B (see photo gallery). The two parts of the house are spatially separated from each other by stone walls, canopies and plants and cannot be seen from the other unit. Neither indoor nor outdoor spaces are shared with the other guests; the terraces are also exclusively for you. Only the washing machine is shared. Larger groups can rent both parts of the house (max 10 guests).

Please note: the house is accessible from the private car park via relatively steep stone stairs (no wheelchair access).

The coast in the area is very rugged (you can visit some of the sea caves under the house by boat from Santa Maria di Leuca), so the sea cannot be reached on foot. Also, the property is not recommended for families with children below 12 years of age. The nearest sea access is in Leuca (approx. 3 km, including a small sandy beach) and the famous Ciolo Fjord (approx. 5 km). The extensive, golden sandy beaches of the Ionian coast (e.g. Pescoluse, Maldive del Salento and then on towards Torre San Giovanni) can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. There are several supermarkets and excellent restaurants within 5 km. You can rent boats or book boat tours in Santa Maria di Leuca.





Sheets, duvets and towels are not included. If you don't want to bring them with you from home, regardless of the length of your stay, you can rent them for €26 per person.

Final cleaning is not included and costs €100, unless you clean yourselves before departure.

Dogs and pets are welcome, if you inform us in advance! Surcharge: €150 for the 1st one, €75 each for the others. Usually max 1 large or 2 small ones are allowed, but exceptions might be possible upon request.

We will ask you to pay a security deposit of €400 before arrival. The security deposit will be refunded within 7 days after departure, if there is no damage.

Electricity costs (and thus where applicable AC, hot water, heating etc.) are NOT included in the price and will be charged based on your actual consumption. The price per kWh charged to guests was €0,46 on 08/01/2026, when this text was last updated. Prices may slightly change over time.

By booking this accommodation, you accept that:

We are obliged by law to verify the identity of all our guests. We will therefore ask you to upload copies of your IDs on our (secure) website to verify your identity before handing out the key code for the accommodation. Your personal data is treated in full compliance with EU data protection laws.

Also, we are obliged to sign a rental agreement with our guests (one person per group). This will be done digitally and requires just a few seconds on your side. You can find a template of the rental agreement on our website.

Parties, gatherings, events or loud music are not allowed at this property unless explicitly authorised beforehand by us in writing.

In case the local municipality charges a tourist tax, we will ask you to pay this separately to us and we will transfer it to the local authorities as required by law.

Please note that, like for all houses in Italy, the power allowance of the house is limited and you might not be able to always use all electric appliances simultaneously. No need to worry: most guests don't even notice this limitation.
