Set amidst 75 acres of attractive scenery, holidays in Vila Sol serve up the Algarve’s greatest assets on a platter. From famed golf courses to luxury spas, delicious cuisine to sandy beaches, you’re guaranteed a knockout Portuguese holiday at this fantastic resort.

Our apartment is based in the gated community of Palmyra Vila Sol, and offers two spacious air conditioned bedrooms, with the Master set as a Super King or a Twin Room and the second bedroom set as a Super King or a Twin Room. The Master Bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The second bathroom has a bath tub with shower attachment over bath.
Make use of our Balcony, or soak up the sun on the sun deck where there are sun loungers and a table and chairs and gas barbecue so you can enjoy your self catered Al Fresco Dining. The sun deck also features an outside shower to cool off on hot summer days.
There are 4 communal pools you can use on the resort, including one in front of the apartment. Pool towels are provided alongside bath towels and all linen.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the Apartment and on the Balcony. The TV offers the ability to watch hundreds of Satellite TV channels from around the world.

Vila Sol’s excellent location is yet another of its selling points. Close to the buzzing marina of Vilamoura and a stone’s throw from Quinta do Lago’s exclusive shops and restaurants, it’s also an ideal base from which to explore the Algarve coastline.

Portugal’s southern coastline is a short drive from Vila Sol’s holiday homes. Within 10 minutes you could be scrunching the soft sands of Quarteira beach between your toes. Cafes dot its western edge, but further east nature takes over with vibrant red cliffs forming a picture-perfect backdrop.

From here, the decision is yours. Follow the ribbon of coastline down towards the peaceful shores of Praia de Loulé Velho or Praia de Vale do Lobo. Alternatively, for a beach with added buzz, head back to Praia de Vilamoura. It’s slightly more lively and the sheltered waters are perfect for family paddles.

One of the Algarve’s best-loved beaches, the vast Praia de Falésia, awaits just the other side of Vilamoura Marina. Come for the water sports, stay for the endless sea views.

If your idea of holiday heaven is an Apartment close to the golf course, you’re in luck. Vila Sol boasts its very own 18 and 9-hole courses, complete with superb facilities and tree-lined fairways.

Close by, other famous greens like Victoria and Millennium golf courses are the gold standard of European golfing breaks.

Beyond the resort, the well-heeled seaside town of Vilamoura is your go-to for white-knuckle water sports and the opportunity to ogle millionaires’ yachts in the marina. Or, step back in time with a day trip to Faro. The bird’s eye view of the city from the top of Faro Cathedral is unmissable.

Quirky markets, designer stores, epic malls – whatever your retail tastes, you’ll satisfy them in the shops close to Vila Sol. Quarteira’s Wednesday market is a must for bargain-hunters, where tourist-friendly stalls proffer azulejo tiles and cork souvenirs at knock-off prices. For a more authentic shopping experience, visit the splendid municipal market at Loulé.

A range of boutique stores and restaurants encircle Vilamoura Marina. Mar Shopping, on the other hand, is one of the largest shopping centres in Portugal and its 82,000 square metres are chock-full of high street brands. And a cinema. And a mini golf course!

For a home-cooked meal, Pingo Doce supermarket is close by and well-stocked with grocery products.

When you’re not cooking up a feast in the Apartment, sample the restaurants close to Vila Sol. After a rip-roaring round of golf, refuel with a fillet steak or truffle pasta at Wine Bistro, overlooking the greens. Next door, Vila Sol Caffé is great for a quick brekkie or afternoon sangria in the sunshine.

A wide range of restaurants, spanning friendly sports bars and traditional Portuguese restaurants, await on the road between Vila Sol and Vilamoura. Whether you’re hungry for a seafood spread or prefer a taste of home with a full-blown Sunday roast, there’s an eatery to suit.

Vilamoura’s dining scene is equally versatile. Classy eats abound next to the glitzy marina, while relaxed cafes like La Creperie are best for fresh, fuss-free lunchtime snacks.
