It is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Greece, with an abundance of Venetian elements. The Venetian fortification works, majestic mansions of Venetian architecture, arches and cobbled paths, which create a magical atmosphere, offer a reminiscence of the city’s glorious past, with its mix of architecture and history and diverse cultural influences.
