What an amazing place. The view was breathtaking. The instructions on checking in very clear. The place is clean, modern and beautifully decorated. Also very well stocked. Plenty of towels, bedding, and especially kitchen supplies. I know this part sounds funny... but also nice toilet paper & kleenex.It's nice not to get stuck with one-ply. Attention to detail is like no other. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful property, thoughtfully decorated. It is close to downtown and to the Chugach State Park hiking trails, which are some of the most beautiful trails we have ever hiked. The owner was kind, and answered our questions quickly. I highly recommend the property.

This property is amazing! I have never stayed at a VRBO that was so well appointed, spotless, exactly as shown on the VRBO sight. The beds were very comfortable and having the laundry was a bonus! The kitchen had everything you could possibly think of. It is a short 15 minute drive from the airport in a great neighborhood and made a wonderful home base for our stay. I would highly recommend this property!

Winter Stay at Prospect Heights VRBO

We travel a lot because we do volunteer work for government land management agencies. This past winter we have been in Anchorage and were fortunate enough to find long-term lodging at this delightful VRBO. It was also a new experience for the hosts as they had not rented long-term before. This location is in the foothills of the Chugach mountains adjacent to the Chugach State Park. The park offers year-around opportunities for hiking, birding, and wildlife observation. We had moose in the yard on several occasions. Bear spray is available for guests and there are both grizzly and black bears in the neighborhood.The accommodation is spacious and very private. It overlooks the city of Anchorage with the Pacific Ocean and Coast Mountains in the background. Mount Spurr, an active volcano 80 miles from Anchorage, is expected to erupt soon and we would have had a front row seat for that event. Amenities are numerous and the congenial hosts were quick to provide any items that we needed.As mentioned previously, we travel a lot and make use of VRBO accommodations frequently, and this is the nicest VRBO we have stayed in. We highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful place and so peaceful!

I was on my 3rd trip to Anchorage within the last 2 years and I wish I had found out about this property on the first trip. (I had stayed at a hotel and another property from a different site, which were okay but that was about it.) It is situated on the hillside within a short drive of Anchorage and not too far from the Glen Alps parking area. It is in a nice, quiet area, with beautiful views and is a very comfortable to stay at. I can fully understand why this place has a perfect rating. Donna was very good at communicating as our trip approached. Her place is well decorated, has so many essentials to help you relax and enjoy the reason you choose to stay at a place such as this. That resulted in some of the best night's sleep I've had this year. I would gladly choose her place on my next trip up to Anchorage and would encourage anyone looking for a nice place stay to consider this one!

Texas to Alaska Roadtrip Rest Stop

Clean, quiet, quaint come to mind… Donna and Ed are awesome. The location is in a quiet residential area, which is cozy but super convenient to everything you need. Enjoyed the view from the deck. Perfect stop to relax after a 5,000 mile bucket list road trip. Thx!!

Perfect Place

This place was a perfect fit for our family. Great area to be. Quiet yet close to amenities. Our Host, Donna was amazing! The space had everything you could think of and was very cozy and inviting. Close to hiking trails, skiing and the mountains. We saw Moose every day. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Little “Peace” of Heaven

Wow! What a sweet little home away from home we found in Alaska … thank you Donna and Ed for sharing!! We absolutely wanted for nothing!! Everything was so well appointed!! From the super comfy bed to a kitchen that made it so hard for us to even want to go out to eat. Gorgeous view … especially at night looking over the twinkling lights of Anchorage. Loved the variety of birds that visited everyday and even the moose that visited at night. Extremely well located to grocery stores, etc. but far enough away to be able to enjoy the peace and quiet. Winter is a perfect time to experience Alaska … Fur Rhondy, Iditarod, Northern Lights, Denali, Turnagain Arms, Moose, Eagles, Otters ,Seals … just to name a few of what this beautiful state has to offer. Again Donna, thank you guys so much!!

This was the last stop on The instructions to get in were very easy to get in. It was a little confusing finding the rental because the address given was 10000 but the building was 9998. We were very happy with the house! Thank you for sharing your space with us.

Enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. It was well appointed and comfortable, and it was very reasonably priced, especially considering how expensive hotels are in Anchorage in summer. We appreciated having additional fans in the bedroom for white noise at night, and the bed was comfortable. We also loved the gas fireplace and kitchen. We arrived late at night and were a bit confused about where the apartment was located because there are multiple buildings at the property and the listing said street number XXXXX, but the apartment is over the garage which is actually XXXX. We found it quickly enough though, and hopefully we didn't wake anyone up walking around the property!

Homely, warm and cosy. A great place to return to after a day exploring Alaska. The accommodation had everything we could need, we cooked great meals, enjoyed with a nice glass of wine with snowy views and beautiful sunsets

Donna is Great!

My family and I were very excited to be hosted by Donna, unfortunately plans were cancelled because of a severe storm. Our plans were not can celled until the Day of our check in with Donna-Donna was very courteous and kind in her communications and she went the extra mile and had the house stocked with food for my family, for our arrival! Although I did not get to experience her vrbo, I am sure it would have been amazing based off of the true compassion and care Donna gave through our communications! I rate Donna a 5 star and I am sure her place is just as Great! Thank you Donna!

Loved staying here!

Me and my adult daughter stayed here and absolutely loved it! It is so warm and cozy. It is decorated so nicely and anything we could have needed was already there. Donna was great to communicate with. We look forward to going back and staying again. We'll definitely be back!

Perfect place. Definitely book it

The 2 bedroom home was so perfect I booked it again for my return visit to Anchorage. Kitchen and bathrooms are very well stocked. The decor is very cute and Alaskan. The beds and bedding are super comfy. The fireplace was divine. Everything was perfect and I will definitely stay here again.

Our Cozy Home for our Stay in Anchorage

This house was delightful, very well stocked and comforts unending. The location was a short distance to restaurants, shopping, and all sorts of activities. This place was our very own oasis.

A true gem!

This apartment, which feels more like a cabin, is absolutely wonderful. If it is available, stop looking and book it! Located just outside of Anchorage in the hills, it has everything you need. Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped. There are even a few furry and feathered friends (outside) to provide entertainment if you grow weary of trying to spot a moose. A nature trail is just around the corner, but weather prevented us from exploring it. Loved our stay here!
