Villa Sandra Ortensia

Villa Sandra: beautiful independent villa, surrounded by a spacious well-kept garden (about 3‘000 sqm), completely fenced, private fenced swimming pool, built in earth (12 x 5.60 m, depth: 1.40 – 1.50m) with deckchairs, chairs, shower and toilette.
Villa Sandra consists of 2 apartments (one on top of the other – connected with an internal staircase; the apartment on the upper floor may be accessed also within an external staircase). The villa is rented with both apartments together; it is possible to rent, during low and middle season) the apartment, Villa Sandra Ortensia, on the lower floor, in this case the apartment on the upper floor remains closed.
Perfect spot: groceries and restaurant can be reached on foot (about 1 km).
The villa disposes of a big garden, completely fenced (height: 1.80m, starting from 20 cm from the ground), ideal also for guests travelling with small children and pets (small and medium sized pets are welcome); there is a fenced swimming pool deckchairs, a huge terrace with a gazebo with a table and chairs and barbeque for your dining al fresco.
Tips for day trips/excursions:

The villa disposes of a strategic departure point – numerous excursions and day trips can be made in the beautiful surroundings: the famous therapeutic springs of Montecattini can be reached within 22 km – Montecatini offers also nice shopping and boutiques, within an hour you may get to Florence.
The village of Casalguidi lies about 1 km from the villa; there is a supermarket and butcher in the village. The city of Pistoia (9 km) is a visit worth as also the other historic cities such as Pisa, Lucca and Siena. The village of Vinci, where Leonardo was born, Collodi, where the fairy tale of Pinocchio took place, San Gimignano and Volterra are also very charming.
For sports lovers: there is riding stable and tennis club in about a 5 minutes’ drive. There is also a golf court in 16 km and 20 km distance from the villa.
Access from the side of the house to the apartment on the ground floor, Villa Sandra Ortensia: entrance, living room with couch, upholstered chairs, SAT-TV, fireplace, grand piano, 1 step lower access to a closed veranda, exit onto the garden, big terrace with a gazebo with an iron table and chairs, traditional brick barbeque, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed on the mezzanine and 1 en-suite bathroom with shower, wc, bidet. Dining room with fireplace (not working), 1 double bedroom with wardrobe and 1 en-suite bathroom with shower, wc, bidet, 1 double bedroom with wardrobe and exit onto the terrace and passage to 1 twin bedroom with 1 en-suite bathroom with tub, separate shower, wc, bidet. All bathrooms dispose of a hairdryer. Air-conditioning in all bedrooms and living room. Traditional brick kitchen with wood burning oven, stove, electric oven, filter coffee brewer, coffee machine with 20 tabs, sink in marble, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, utility room with fridge/freezer, washing machine, the part where the heating system is located at, remains closed.

Well-cared and tasteful furnishings, walls painted in terracotta, traditional brick arches, partially visible stonewalls and beamed ceilings. There are one/two steps between the rooms all over the house. There is a safe in the villa. Mosquito nets on the windows, air-conditioning in all bedrooms and living rooms.
Unlimited WiFi access, good reception in the house and in the garden. Covered parking for 2 cars. The grounds extend onto 10 hectares – there is an olive grove, wood and fruit trees, there also paths for strolls. There is an external tavern with kitchen which can be rented on request for dinners/parties – Euro 100.00 per day. A catering can be organized. The villa will be cleaned for 2 hours during a week’s time; the swimming pool is being cleaned every morning (early). There is a baby bed and high-chair, free of charge.

The extra charges, which are calculated according to consumption, are to be paid at the end of the stay.
