Encantador, acogedor de 2 dormitorios cabaña de alquiler de lago con difícil encontrar la fachada del lago de nivel y el fondo del lago de arena en el popular lago Namakagon en el bosque nacional de Chequamegon. El jardín de la orilla de hierba se abre a una hermosa vista oeste de la Bahía de Mumm y un área de natación amigable, arena. Ver impresionantes puestas de sol y el cielo nocturno del norte mientras disfruta de una fogata en el patio frontal con vistas al lago. Salir de su cabaña del lago y explorar las excelentes aguas de pesca y recreativas del lago Namakagon con más de 43 kilómetros de costa, varias islas y 3400 acres.

La hermosa vista del lago también se puede disfrutar de las comodidades de la sala de estar. Las ventanas de Lakeside captan la escena de Northwoods fuera. Our stay at the yellow house

Check in was easy and the kitchen facilities were ok. Some pots could use replacement. The shower sprayer was cracked and leaked. A few things that could have made our stay better would be to have a working washer and dryer, air conditioning and wifi. We had a great time with family.

Close to road a little updating would have been nice. Fire place working would have been nice or atleast known it wasnt working. Same with cell phone and internet net reception none existent.

The beds , I have to say were not that comfy though. The fishing was good. Swimming by the cabin is not the greatest. We went out to the island. Otherwise everything was awesome. Local establishments were great too! We would stay again.

It was different!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was in the 90's the first two days, No air conditioning. The tv would not work. Then the temp dropped way down!! The fireplace was "Out of order" We finally figured out how to get the furnace going. Great view of the lake!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful view of the lake, great yard and dock. I was sad to see that overall there really is no " Cabin feel " in the house. It really needs some updates to make it feel more of a cabin / woods feel. Also that shower is horrible. Thank goodness that there is a tub so that we were able to wash ourselves that way and lean in to wash hair. They want us to conserve water but there is no way to do that when the water barley comes out of the shower head. It also took a good day to air out the cabin once we were there. I understand some things have changed due to Covid but when we got there there were no windows open at all and the cabin had a very strong smell. Due to location being so worth it I would go back, but I would love to see just some small things done to make huge change !

Bill's Bay Cabin Review

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our first impression of the cabin was how nice and clean it was. The kitchen was very well equipped with every conceivable gadget. It even had a Belgian waffle maker, which we used twice. Our primary reason for choosing this cabin was the shoreline, which was described as sandy and great for swimming. What a disappointment! We didn’t even want to go in the water because the weeds were so thick. Not only that, but the shoreline was constantly visited by ducks and geese. Cute but very unsanitary!We were told a grill was on the property but that we had to bring our own charcoal and lighter fluid, which we did, only to find a gas grill. That wasn’t so bad except, when we ran out of propane, we were told to exchange the tank and send them the receipt for reimbursement. The nearest place to do that is a 30 mile round trip. I stated that in a text and they agreed to replace it as they said they would... the next day. The shower head was a decrepit old shower massage thing that didn’t adjust, it kinda just spewed water. And the tub drain ran slowly. I thought it was going plug up, but fortunately it didn’t.There were 2 table lamps in the living room and the bulb was blown in one of them. We had to take a low wattage bulb from the spare bedroom. The ceiling light in the bathroom flickered all week, If it blew there would have been a dim light in the bathroom.The living room was pretty warm because there were no windows to open to let in the cool westerly breezes off the lake. Lake Namekagen is a 3000 acre lake & the only public beach is a tiny one in the national forest campground. So the only place we could go for a swim, given the disgusting weedy shoreline in front of the cabin, was to paddle out to the sandbar off the island (we’re kayakers), about a 1/2 mile out. The writeup for the cottage stated it was good for swimming. No it isn't. Overall, we concluded that for $1400/week, there are ple

Great location

We found the property to be clean and pleasant, with an absolutely stunning location & view. Based on previous reviews, we knew the beds would be uncomfortable so we brought a 4 x 4 piece of plywood to put in the worst offender, and it completely solved the problem. The electricity is dated in the house so some of the plugs are loose and don’t work and the only three-way plug is in the kitchen. The outdoor three-way socket for charging boat batteries was not working, so 200 feet of extension cord solve the problems. There is no Internet, FYI. We were able to get a few bars roaming early in the morning but mostly we went without. There is a slightly musty odor of a house that’s been closed up a lot but we found that easy to deal with by simply opening the doors and windows and bringing our own pillows to sleep on. Because of Covid, they only offer a fitted sheet so you will definitely want your own blankets. The yard includes a gas grill, a picnic table, a fire pit, and a couple of small side tables. It does not include lawn chairs. There are also two trees that hold a hammock really well There were easy workarounds for all of the problems in the house and it was so beautiful and well located, we didn’t really mind at all. The kitchen was generous and easy to cook in and there is brand new carpet in the living room. We would strongly recommend this cabin as long as you go prepared.

Bill’s Bay

It was what we expected. Enjoyed being on the lake and nice sandy shoreline. The location is what really attracted us. The Kitchen was a good size and we enjoyed playing cards there in the evening. Loved the Brick House in Cable for breakfast and the Loon bar on county D for happy hour on the deck. The cottage would be much improved with newer bed mattresses as others have also suggested. We loved the painting of the Grouse and wondered if it was an original. We would do it again.

If you're looking for more than less than basic don't chose this property. No wifi, no TV (that works), no washer/dryer (that works) and very undesirable shower and bathroom in general. Mattresses were very old, bring your own pillows and blankets.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beds were definitely not very comfortable--seems like the mattresses were old and need to be replaced. The large living room and kitchen were both really useful for our family. Although only 4 of us stayed at this location, the other 7 in our group were just down the road and many of our meals eaten together were at this house due to the available seating/table size. The alarm went off for the septic tank on our second day there and a wonderful neighbor came over and explained what was happening. They even called it in for us right away. The outdoor area was large enough to let our toddlers run around and play, and although we only used it once, the fire pit near the lake was nice. Having a large pier was also a plus as we rented a large pontoon boat for the week and had plenty of space for it. Best part of this home is that it's right on the lake! The shallow, sandy beach is perfect for smaller children with a bit deeper water at the end of the pier for older kids who would rather jump right in. With such a large group, we only ate out 2-3 times during this trip but thoroughly enjoyed Pioneer Bar with its great burgers and friendly, family atmosphere. We also enjoyed Loon Saloon - both the restaurant and the attached store for any forgotten necessities as well as a few souvenirs. Fish Fry at Lakewoods was one of the best ever and enjoyed by all, then Saturday morning breakfast at Garmish ended our trip. Reservations are necessary for both as they were doing a great job at social distancing during this trying time.

Beautiful place on nice lake. My daughter and her friend had fun. They are 11. Good relaxing place to stay. Awesome fishing caught 2 northerns off the dock with bobber and worm. 20inch&22inch. Super exciting. Took about half hour drive to hayward to see the musky that you can walk in at fresh fish museum. had brunch at brickhouse cafe in cable. Awesome food. I recommend this place to anyone especially families.

While the shoreline was what we wanted for the kids swimming, the duck/geese droppings in the yard made it less desirable. The bay is quiet and we did spend a couple of nice afternoons there swimming, kayaking, water play. Perfect area for those activities. The house is very cute from the outside, but the inside needs some TLC; It had a VERY stuffy and dank smell. We spent as little time inside as possible. We could only sleep there one night as it was TOO smelly and the beds were not good. Thankfully we joined relatives in another cabin for sleeping/eating etc. Overall I would recommend it for the water play area, but don't expect too much from the cabin.

Reviewer Comments: Thoroughly enjoyed biking, kayaking and wakeboarding Lake Namakagon and this place had a great shoreline to be able to beach the boat, would have also been great for kids to splash and play, great spot to hang a hammock on the beach. Inside the cabin had a strong musty/ mold odor and we had to keep everything open with candles burning. It looked like everything from floor to ceiling including furniture and decor had been unchanged since about early 1980s or before except maybe a few pieces to cover dings in the walls. Washer and dryer "out of order" but likely just with breaker pulled to save electricity. No AC. Was still worth it to be in a good spot but don't expect luxury inside. Also there were no issues with the rental company.
