Located on the west coast of Lake Guarda, the picturesque village of Toscolano-Maderno is dotted with cypresses, olive groves and lemon groves and has a pretty harbor crowded with colorful boats and ferries. Nearby are numerous beaches with a choice of water sports, including canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, fishing and diving.

In the surrounding hills and mountains you can practice many other activities, including: climbing, hiking, mountain biking and horse riding. A golf course is just a 10-minute drive away. In addition, visitors can reach by boat the Veronese shore of Lake da Salò (17 minutes by car), reach the elegant resort of Gardone Riviera and visit the Vittoriale (7 minutes by car) or visit Padenghe sul Garda, known for extra virgin olive oil and D.O.C. wines (33 minutes by car). A little further along the coast (1 hour drive) is Sirmione and its famous spa. Verona is 1 hour and 15 minutes by car and Venice is just over 2 hours by car.

The nearest airport is Milan Bergamo, about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from the house.
