Welcome to our new Family Suite - The De Vere Suite, Maldon's very first 2 bedroomed apartment for those special occasions, staycations or short term lets for families, and families & friends

*PLEASE NOTE: The rate for 2 people is based on 2 people sharing one bed. Fees may apply for using the second bedroom if less than 3 persons using the apartment. Please contact us to discuss T&C's for the second bedroom.

Apartment description:
The main bedroom houses an antique, handmade, superking, four poster bed, a free standing bath, and facing a large terrace. It also has a dressing table, wardrobe, flat screen TV and chandeliers above the bed and bath

Bedroom 2 has a double bed, wardrobe, flat screen TV and chandelier.

There is an open plan lounge with 3 seater sofa, armchair, coffee table, flat screen TV and chandelier

This apartment has a fully fitted, functional kitchen. Family bathroom with walk in shower, and is fully air conditioned.

There is also a large, south facing terrace in this property which is lovely in the summer.

Our apartments are thoughtfully equipt, and are perfectly situated for both work and leisure with everything within easy reach, including many restaurants and bars, and even an M&S foodhall right next door. We provide complimentary items for your convenience, including toiletries, dressing gowns & slippers in our larger suites, tea & coffee facilities.
We provide everything to give you a home from home, or even working from home experience with our spacious apartments, or large rooms

Location is everything and you have everything right on your doorstep being on the high street in this busy little town, which is quiet during the week and comes alive at the weekend. There is a bar / club across the road, and at the weekend closes around 1am. So if you are a light sleeper, or do not like outside noise this may not be suitable for you. We do warn all of our guests that being on the high-street and in the middle of a busy town, this isn't a quiet little retreat if that is what you are looking for.

Lovely, relaxing stay - would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend break

The apartment was lovely - ideally located and with excellent amenities (comfortable beds, very relaxing bath, terrace that felt private and a great add-on). Maldon itself was really fun to explore with good, family-friendly restaurants and activities

A beautiful, unique and comfortable location in the heart of Maldon

We stayed across two suites for a reunion with friends visiting from Australia and had a truly brilliant 24 hours! The suites are impeccably designed with lots of quirks and with wonderful views of Maldon. We'll definitely be back and for longer next time! Thanks to Shannon and the team for a wonderful stay.

Gorgeous rooms!

I stayed at Staycations for my Wedding weekend! We had 4 rooms booked out and each were incredibly beautiful and large! A lovely opulence that made you feel like a celebrity! The only down side was the noise from the bar opposite which doesn’t stop until 12pm on a Friday and Sunday which wasn’t ideal when needing an early night! Shannon was an amazing host, so attentive and friendly!

Amazing apartment, perfect location!

We were a group of 4 ladies staying in Maldon to celebrate a 50th Birthday. The apartment was perfect, and had everything you could want for a weekend away. Fully equipped & beautiful kitchen with dishwasher. High spec bathroom with walk in shower. Beds super comfortable, with the four poster having a bult in TV! Small touches like a large bottle of bubble bath for use in the roll top bath, to picking a fresh lime from the lime tree for our g&ts really helped make for a perfect stay!

We didn’t want to leave!

I was looking for luxury to treat my partner and got exactly that! The bed was huge, firm and comfortable; the bathroom perfectly equipped and the bath in the bedroom is sheer decadence. We didn’t explore Maldon quite as much as we intended because we wanted to make the most of the accommodation.

Firstly the communication and first class customer service from Shannon👌🤩. The whole apartment was perfect, the bed in the main bedroom was amazing! So comfortable, hubby and me had a great laugh as he needed to help me get up onto the bed as I'm only 5'3". 😂.

Perfect stay

We stayed in-the De Vere Suite. Very spacious. Lovely comfy four poster bed. Bathroom with rain shower and white fluffy towels. Kitchen was well equipped. The Suite had everything we needed for our stay. Shannon actually met us when we arrived and showed us around and gave us information about Maldon. Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby to eat. Location perfect. Plenty of independent shops on the High Street. Communication and customer service from Shannon was superb.

All of our suites ooze character as they are all set within the historical town of Maldon. Our 4 rooms are housed in The Kings Head Centre - a 16th Century Grade II listed building which dates back to 1552, with original character to boot, including original beamed walls and ceilings, and uneven floors. In the last 30 years it has been lovingly preserved by the owner of Staycations Maldon - James Mann who's love of up-cycling and antique furniture has given Staycations its quirky-ness with a touch of modern luxury. Staycations Maldon opened in July 2021 with just one suite. Since then, and because of popularity we have opened another 3 suites, now having 4 in total that are all different shapes and sizes.
