Enjoy a peaceful, private and spacious 1 bedroomed renovated barn conversion with it's own private entrance and private garden view.
This barn conversion is the perfect mix of peaceful, rural country living, whilst still being just a short drive away from all of the local amenities, major transport links and tourist attractions. Plenty of fun activities for the kids and ideal for grown ups looking for a quiet getaway or for business travellers.
Manor Barn is located just 2 miles from the centre of Chard Town. Chard is a picturesque Somerset Town, providing many local amenities including numerous supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, cafes, museum, weekly markets and events and retail shops.
Manor Barn would suit couples, families or professionals working/holidaying in the area, with close transport links to the M5 (just 9 miles from J25), Bristol Airport (50 minutes), Exeter Airport (45 minutes) and the coast (25 minutes). This is the perfect place for an all year round retreat.
The Space
Open plan kitchen and dining area.
A well equipped good sized kitchen suitable for ‘home from home’ cooking/baking for the family, a dining table, a comfortable sitting area with digital TV. Dishwasher and well stocked tea and coffee making facilities. This barn was converted at the end of 2023, so all appliances are pretty much brand new.
Hardwood flooring throughout with underfloor heating makes for a very comfortable stay - Heating is controlled from within the property so you can adjust to your own preferences.
Two large skylight windows in the open plan living area makes for a very light and airy feel.
Comfortable sofa bed which can be made up on request.
Bedroom
Good sized, premium double bed and towels provided. Bedside tables with lamps, power supplies and a full length mirror attached to the wardrobe.
Bathroom
Large bathroom with walk in large shower. Brand new shower and sink. Very light and airy bathroom.
Private outside garden area.
Manor Farm is situated on the Devon/Dorset borders with easy access to the Jurassic coast. Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Seaton, Charmouth beaches only a short drive away. There is plenty to see and do during your visit, as we are in very close proximity of farm shops, Chard Resevoir (Great fishing spot! 10 minute walk!), garden centres and cafes, country pubs, Perrys cider mill, cycle routes just 2 minutes front the door (route 33), golf courses (2 miles) and National Trust sites, Ferne Animal Sanctuary and plenty more!
Manor Cottage would suit families, couples or professionals working in the area, with close transport links to the M5 (just 9 miles from J25).
This is the perfect place for an all year round retreat.
Both The Barn (Sleeps 4) and The Cottage (Sleeps 7) have well equipped good sized kitchens

Hello and welcome to our place. We are a family of 6 and enjoy being outside in the countryside, beaches, swimming, paddle boarding and so much more. We run a successful open water swimming business in the UK. Our place is a work in progress as it is a 16th century farm house. So always lots of work to do keeping it looking lovely.
We offer two self conatined properties - The Barn, sleeping 4 and The Cottage, sleeping 7. This is the perfect location for families to come and enjoy a private and peaceful holiday.
