Carew Cottage is a charming grade II listed stone terrace cottage in the village of Carew, just a stone’s throw from the magnificent ruins of the medieval Carew Castle and picturesque mill pond. Recently renovated throughout to a high standard using traditional techniques with exposed stone work and lime render, it retains many of its original features.Step in to its spacious open-plan living space with wonderful beams and wooden floor, enjoy meals around the farmhouse style dining table prepared in the cottage-style modern, fitted kitchen and relax on the comfortable sofas. French doors open to an enclosed terrace where you can dine alfresco, while a sloping path leads up to a small lawn area. The utility room makes a useful space for walking and beach gear.Stairs from the sitting room lead to the bedrooms nestling in the eaves, a narrow door way opens to a super bathroom with roll-top bath. The Master kingsize bedroom has an ensuite shower room, while the twin offers added flexibility with its zip and link single beds making a king size if you prefer.You are sure of a warm welcome from the owners, who also own the adjoining Carew Inn, renowned for its excellent food, take advantage of one of their special offers exclusively for their cottage guests. Enjoy exploring Carew Castle which often holds events throughout the year, the walk around the mill pond with its seasonal cafe is charming with stunning views of the Castle ruins. There are several pubs in neighbouring villages, all offering good food including The Brewery Inn at Cosheston. The area abounds in good walks and is perfect for bird and wildlife enthusiasts. Explore the Cleddau estuary and enjoy a slower pace to life with its sleepy hidden villages and local pubs nestling on this stunning waterway, it feels like time has stood still. Yet conveniently located to visit a number of wonderful beaches and seaside towns with Saundersfoot, Tenby, Manorbier and Freshwater East all within a short drive.
