A detached holiday cottage sleeping 14 in six en-suite bedrooms. Decorated in a contemporary style Kingfisher Cottage is perfect for family and group get togethers throughout the year.

The open plan ground floor living space has a large well equipped family kitchen which leads to a glazed dining area overlooking the garden and patio. The spacious lounge has a log burner for cosy nights in. As well as 5 en-suite bedrooms on the first floor, Kingfisher has a ground floor en-suite bedroom with TV and outside access which is ideal for guests with restricted mobility.

Beautiful cottage, in a beautiful setting with amazing guest care!

We stayed at The Dinney between 29/12/25-02/12/26, as a large party we stayed in 3 of the cottages- The Kingfisher, Drake cottage and The Garden Cottage. All 3 were beautifully decorated and extremely well maintained! They were modern, very comfortable furniture and the bedrooms were lovely and beds so comfy. All 3 were immaculately clean, with brilliant facilities, there is nothing not thought of and nothing you’d need to take extra, Karen and Keith are amazing hosts and we were so well taken care of and looked after from start to finish. I would 100% stay here again and we are already talking about retuning for another stay and would 100% recommend to everyone!

Christmas Cottage Comfort

Kingfisher Cottage was a delight. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and we arrived to a warm, comfortable cottage with a homemade coffee and walnut cake, mince pies as well 2 christmas cakes, a christmas pudding and bottles of mulled wine. The cottage is a perfect place for family and friends to come together and celebrate an event or just to get away as a group. A beautiful location for walks or just relaxing in the large garden. Rooms were comfortable, clean and inviting with everything you could need. A large kitchen with everything you need, although it would benefit from 2 fridges in the warmer months. We would definitely stay again

Fabulous holiday cottage

A great cottage for our group of 6 couples, suited our needs perfectly and provided a fabulous communal downstairs space along with en-suite bedrooms for all. Communication and assistance from owners was first rate. Highly recommend.

Friends meet up

Our second stay at Kingfisher Cottage, and just as good. Plenty of space for everyone and a lovely social open plan kitchen/ dining room. The kitchen has been refitted and is superbly equipped. A visit to Bridgnorth, a meal at Bulls Head inn Chelmarsh, and golf at The Astbury club, plus walks from your front door, all made for a great time with friends.

This is a beautiful property. Lovely furnishings . Secure garden for pups and lovely garden furniture to enjoy outdoor dining. Kitchen was amazing. So well equipped and everything in perfect condition. Every bedroom is immaculate and en suite. Could not have been better prepared for us. We enjoyed an 80th Birthday family celebration and could not have wished for a better place to do it. Local Golf Club served an excellent celebration lunch, walkable if you do not want to drive! There are properties on site to suit any number of visitors and you can get breakfast too. We had a wonderful time and would recommend Dinney Cottages as a lovely location to chill, relax, tour and celebrate an occasion. Thank you to everyone at Dinney Cottages for such a warm welcome and for all that you did for us.

Fantastic venue for a large gathering.

Stayed in this property with a group of friends. It’s perfect, plenty of seating in the lounge, fabulous dining table that easily seats fourteen, kitchen great for cooking for a large number, all bedrooms have en-suites. Views from outside the property are far reaching and stunning.

Perfect location for family gathering

We chose this location for travelling family and friends. It was perfect, very clean and beautiful! All our friends complimented the helpful staff and the location which is about a 8 minute drive to Bridgnorth.

Perfect for a Special Occasion

The perfect location for our 65th Wedding Anniversary party. Guests aged from 6 months old to 87 years young had a choice of Cottages or Bed & breakfast rooms and the festivities included a Pig Roast and Disco overlooking the Chelmarsh Reservoir. Karen and staff had left Home Made Cake and lots of other little kindnesses for us. More bookings will follow from my family

Fantastic for large groups

Fabulous self catering cottage with spacious kitchen and large dining area - perfect for a large family gathering! Lovely garden space for the children to play in, and no shortage of bathrooms with en-suites in every room! Customer service was brilliant, allowing us to arrange a last minute early check in after a family members flight times changed - very appreciated!! My only suggestion would be adding a mirror in the bedroom of 4, as when there was someone in the en-suite there was no mirror for the others to do hair & make up. I’d highly recommend the Dinney, the location was beautiful, the cottages were fabulous and the customer service was brilliant :)

Superb!

Group Stay at Kingfisher Cottage

We are a group of friends who go away annually. The Dinney is in a super location for exploring Shropshire and the Black Country. We were blessed with good weather, and discovered some nice walks from The Dinney. Kingfisher Cottage is very well designed and suited our needs as the living area was open planned. Recycling instructions in the kitchen area would have been helpful, although we soon discovered the bins outside.

Girls weekend

Our 5th stay at the Dinney once again a wonderful time was had. The Kingfisher is large enough to party and table for 14 to eat . Views and walks easy and beautiful. Karen very helpful host . Look forward to returning .

A wonderful stay, a few suggestions for future guests.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. The layout of the property worked perfectly for our family gathering with a lovely lounge area and open fire. We felt that the kitchen provided ample crockery and cutlery for the number of guests, however we did feel that some of the utensils were getting a bit tired and we were missing a few items which could have been useful when catering. Something else which would have been useful would be boxes for us to separate our rubbish into the different recycling requirements at the property to make it easier to sort it then rather than having to put it all in one bag and sort it whilst at the bins, we also could not find anywhere to recycle glass bottles.
